Milaney and Jack's love story dates back to 2016-
It was their Junior year in High school, and although they grew up in different county’s and went to different high schools they had managed to cross paths at their excel tech fire academy. Jack barely got into the academy because he was past the sign up date, but thanks to a little phone call Jack and Milaney were destined to meet. They met on the bus that took them to their program and they became best friends instantly. They didn't think of it as a romantic relationship yet, but between long FaceTime calls and going out with friends their families all secretly knew there was much more than a friendship brewing. A year full of laughs and fun went by and then FINALLY those two started dating May of 2017.
Their relationship continued to grow for four more years and their love and passion for each other and firefighting grew stronger and stronger. They worked and studied hard together helping each other get through each test and challenge the fire academy and paramedic school gave them. They were a great team and an inseparable pair.
After graduation and a fun filled summer Jack had a plan to get down on one knee. The day was October 17th, 2021 on a rainy Cleveland Browns football Sunday at Milaney’s parents house. Jack organized and invited both sides of their families to watch from the upper deck of the Steigerwald house as he proposed near a big bonfire in the backyard with his beloved grandmother's diamond ring. Both families were there and others came to celebrate their love and engagement all night long with their favorite: loud music, champagne and a raging bonfire!
Since then they have gone back and forth on wedding ideas and came up with an all inclusive destination wedding to the Dominican Republic!
A wedding no one will forget, especially Milaney and Jack.
