Idle Awhile can provide rapid antigen testing as required for return to the US. For guests staying 5 nights or more they may be able to provide you with free testing. Guests who do not qualify for free testing will need to cover the cost themselves which is approximately $75 USD per person. Testing will be conducted on property by a contracted medical provider within three days of departure. Results will be available via email within 24 hours.

Testing can be scheduled during check-in at the resort. Guests will be responsible for arriving during the testing window provided. If missed, guests will have to reschedule or make their own arrangements. Guests who test positive will be quarantined in a complimentary room for up to 14 days. If additional rooms are necessary, a separate room will be available at a deeply discounted rate. This may change without notice based on the direction and requirements of the CDC.

We recommend making arrangements for ground transportation to the hotel prior to your arrival. Feel free to contact the resort regarding ground transportation to the hotel from the airport. We have also included a few recommended services below.

Calico Jack's Pirate Shack Take a water taxi from Half Moon Beach to Captain Jack's Pirate Shack. Half Moon Beach is a 20 minute drive from Negril.

Stanley's Deep Sea Fishing

7-Mile Beach Idle Awhile Beach is located right on the 7-mile beach. Stake your private spot in the shade, stroll the beach for diversions that include glass bottom boat rides, catamaran cruises, and snorkeling or bar hop from beach bar to beach bar.

Negril Hills

Negril Hills Golf Club is an 18-hole, 120-acre, par-72 course. Located high above the white beaches of Negril in the lush green hills, this club is just 15 minutes away from The Beach Resort. The tropical greenery, elevated tees and greens, gently undulating fairways, and picturesque water hazards make this a great local track.

The wind, water, and 6,333 yards of rolling hills make for a challenging yet satisfying round. There are a couple of exceptionally tough greens but as long as you’re patient, you’ll be able to keep your irie vibe! Practice your swing as you overlook the gorgeous vistas of Negril.

Cinnamon Hill

Cinnamon Hill is an 18-hole, par-72 course situated on what used to be a large sugar plantation. Jamaica's past history is still present throughout the golf course in the form of graveyards and ruins of old homes. Course designers von Hagge and Rick Baril designed Cinnamon Hill with elevations that give the sense of both coastal and tropical inland golf. At Cinnamon Hill, you’ll experience the best of Jamaica golf — the cool ocean spray on your cheeks as you putt on seaside greens and wind whistling through the pines as you tee-off on the 17th hole, 350 feet above the turquoise Caribbean sea. This is a test you will enjoy, enchanting panoramas framing your every shot.

Cinnamon Hill

For guests traveling to Negril to attend the wedding, we recommend that you book your room at Idle Awhile The Beach. Day of wedding transportation to and from Pattoo Castle will be provided from The Beach resort. Guests looking for more luxury accommodations may wish to stay at Idle Awhile Villas, a 5-10 minute walk from The Beach resort.

Members of the wedding party are asked to stay with Kevar & Ashley at Pattoo Castle October 8th, 9th, & 10th. Kevar and Ashley will be in Jamaica October 5th-14th staying at The Beach resort both prior to and after the wedding.

Situated on the most prime stretch of pristine Seven Mile Beach in Negril, this sun-splashed oceanfront retreat offers endless sunshine, soft sand and warm turquoise water.

Guests of The Beach enjoy complimentary access to ten–acre Sports Complex at Couples Swept Away.
