This is a casual, unstructured event, so please come and go as you desire! Wine will be available for purchase and we will provide soft drinks. There will not be a meal served, but there are several restaurants within walking distance if you want to grab a bite!
There is also a fantastic olive oil shop with tastings that shares a parking lot with the wine tasting rooms called Quail and Olive. Hannah and Stephen always make sure to take home a bottle when they visit! They also sell gelato.
There are lovely outdoor courtyards near Cowgirl Winery, Boekenoogan Winery, and Twisted Roots Winery where people of all ages are welcome to relax and enjoy. There is bocce ball and the opportunity for practicing lassoing! There is also a playground across the street and gelato for sale at Quail and Olive
Casual/swimsuits—please bring a towel if you plan to swim!
There are bathrooms available for changing
Toasts are welcome!
We will have time available at this informal event for short toasts to the bride and groom
Young children who are not independent swimmers need to be supervised at all times while at Gardener Ranch
There are two swimming pools at Gardener Ranch. One with no fence surrounding it is centrally-located in the central “Clubhouse” area where events will be held. The other is located privately behind a rental house on the property. It has a fence around it, but there is an easily-opened gate.
California has two Carmel Valleys. One is in San Diego, the other is where we are getting married in Monterey County! Please come to the correct valley on our wedding day.
Cocktail Attire
The ceremony and dinner will be held on grass, so make sure you wear appropriate shoes. The entire event will be held outside. The temperature can swing from very hot during the day to cool and breezy at night, so please bring layers!

Please do not use mobile devices or cameras during the ceremony
We want our guests to be present during the ceremony, and sometimes phones and cameras can interfere with professional photographer photos. Take as many photos as you like afterwards at the reception!
