Hayley and ishan

Ishan & Hayley’s story began over six years ago when they were introduced at a mutual friend's birthday dinner.

They instantly got along; asking questions and learning about each others interests. Hayley was impressed by Ishan’s confidence, and sincerity. Ishan was impressed by Hayley's open and honest nature.

As Ishan was walking Hayley off to her car, she commented "that car looks great, what is it?" The doors unlock and Ishan says "It's a 180SX, get in!" Hayley rolls her eyes grinning!! As he dropped her off, he gave her a kiss on the cheek and that was the moment Hayley thought "Ooh this guy is alright".

Soon followed many late night conversations that only brought Hayley and Ish closer together. The start of something special.

After a few weeks of talking, Ishan finally mustered up the courage to ask Hayley on a date. He picked her up and took her on an adventure that would change their lives forever. 

As Ishan would put it, it all worked out exactly like he envisioned, however that's not how the date began.

They first went to a chocolate cafe talking for hours but Hayley didn't seem too impressed (she had Disney-level expectations of what a date should be!). Ishan was on a mission to make this date as memorable as possible so this then became a MYSTERY DATE.

They hopped back into the car and ended up driving up the mountain roads of Yarra Boulevard. Ishan was expecting to show Hayley a stunning lookout but unfortunately there was not much to see, Hayley felt bad as it was a bit underwhelming but Ishan would not have it!

He then drove them another 50kms to the next and final destination. With butterflies in the air and Drake's "Nothing Was The Same" album in the background this night was sure to turn around.

They ended up at Carrum Beach star gazing along the pier, holding hands, and talking about life. And all of a sudden, Ishan shouted 'Look! a flying star!' . Hayley looked up to the sky and they both witnessed a beaming shooting star moving in what felt like slow-motion.

Make a wish, Ishan said as Hayley had never seen one in her life. Hayley made her wish as did Ishan. Little did they know that both their wishes came true. Making it the most unforgettable date.

A love written in the stars.

To celebrate their five-year anniversary, Ishan had to come up with something 'hollywood stats' special and he knew this was the time to make it happen.

On the 14th of September 2018, Ishan took Hayley to the beautiful Mornington Peninsula. It was time to put the first stage of planning into action. The sun was shining bright as ever as they made their first stop at Montalto Winery for a scrumptious lunch. He then took her to a beautiful back beach in Blairgowrie where they walked up a sand cliff to be welcomed by a lookout with stunning ocean views.

Whilst eating, talking & drinking their way through the surprise picnic, Ishan asked Hayley to stand up for a photo against the backdrop. Perfectly positioned and just to plan, the one gift that Hayley wanted was tucked away nicely within the picnic basket. She turned to quickly look at the stunning scenery and as she turned back around there was Ishan, on bended knee, confidently holding the ring. He said the words 'Hayley Gwendolyn Jennings, will you do me the honour of marrying me?' Hayley's answer was 'Of course' followed by endless tears of joy!

They made it happen.

Stage two of Ishan’s ultimate plan was about to unfold as they left the Peninsula the next day, headed into the city to have a lunch at a 'fancy celebrity-filled' restaurant, or so Hayley was told. Getting ready, Hayley though a little suspicious seemed to have no idea, whilst Ishan was stressing with secretly planning what was about to happen next. They landed at Mon Bijou on Flinders Lane to be greeted by a strange doorman who led the couple through a side entrance where they were ushered into an elevator. They went up to the top floor and as the elevator went *ding*, the doors opened to reveal all of their closest family & friends! They were smothered with love, hugs and more tears of joy!

It was the second best surprise Ishan had given Hayley and was the most fun they'd ever had!
