Pranav saw Haritha's dance video on YouTube and asked her to collaborate with him on a piece of choreography. He asked her to be his date to his dance team's formal dinner later that night (thank you, Penn Dhamaka). On this day, they had many firsts: first meeting, first dance, first date and first picture together (shown here)!
It took no more than 2 weeks for acquaintance to turn into love. Haritha's gut did all the talking, "I'm down to be together if you are. Lemme know, dude." To this day, she preaches the famous words 'when you know, you know!'
Days led to months...
...with music turned into mixes. He was a singer and DJ; she loved to bug him with songs and arrangements. DJ PRNU will be her forever favorite <3
and months led to years...
...with watching Tasty videos, binging everything that is Netflix, and actually binging on bread and desserts in Philly! It's the simple things.
and the years flew by...
...as they danced everywhere from stage performances to friends' weddings!
Eventually, they graduated! Pranav got his BSE and MSE from UPenn and Haritha got her BA from Temple. They entered the next chapter of their lives...in different cities for the first time.
Pranav started a full-time position at Bloomberg in NYC while Haritha pursued her MD at Jefferson in Philly! Distance was hard, but birthdays, surprise visits, and holidays always brought them together again :)
The time finally came for the parents to meet. As expected, they found their kindred spirits in each other! The powerhouse moms and the goofy dads. The siblings off doing their own things. Soon enough, every couple weeks, there was a party, dinner, or "chai time!" A new family...a complete family...was made <3
Of course, all of the exciting times were followed by the surprise proposal!
Pranav: "Will you marry me?"
Haritha: "DUH!!!"
