It all started when I went swimming with some friends, and there she was. All I could remember was those beautiful blue eyes. We instantly meshed and became good friends for roughly a year. After I came to the realization that I liked her more than that, I asked her out.
Now lets jump to 6 1/2 years later to a trip I knew she would never forget. I took her to Nashville leading her to believe it was just for her birthday and that's how we were celebrating it, but in reality it was much more than that. I planned out our special evening and we walked onto a small pedestrian bridge, made small talk, laughed and enjoyed each others company. With the ring in my pocket and hidden photographers ready, I dropped to a knee.
Here and now, we are past 7 years together and couldn't be happier. I'm glad to be spending our special day with all of you and can't wait to look over the crowd and see everyone's excited and anxious faces as my beautiful bride walks to me. Our special day cannot come quick enough!

Our story begins a couple different times...
It really began when Colton's mom, Kelly, was my Awana's Teacher at Hebron Baptist Church on Wednesday nights. I was a little bitty girl with REALLY curly hair and LOTS of sass! Little did I know, I would one day be marrying her son!
Fast forward to the summer before my sophomore year of high school and Colton's senior year of high school, where we met (again) through mutual friends at the pool and in that moment, I knew he was going to be something special. That summer before my sophomore year, we started hanging out and talking and occasionally going to eat Mexican... my favorite.
The following January of 2012, Colton FINALLY asked me on a date. From there, the rest is history. I started going to all of his baseball games, where he played for the Mountain View Bears and it all of a sudden became a relationship that I never wanted to let go. It has been seven years full of proms, family vacations, long distance undergraduate days, trials, tribulations, happy tears and sad tears.
After six and half years of dating, Colton and I went to Nashville for a birthday getaway, where he got down on one knee and asked me to be his WIFE! I can honestly say I do not think I have ever said an easier or less hesitant, "YES!"
We are so anxious and excited to begin this next phase of our life, but we could not ever have imagined it without each and every one of you!
Here's to being the future Mr. and Mrs. Seckinger!

The most special and sweetest moment EVER! Colton and I headed off for a birthday celebration in Nashville, Tennessee for a couple of days starting on July 8th. Just like any other trip that we had been on, we headed off on a Sunday morning. On the way to Nashville, we sang and just talked about how fun this trip was going to be... little did I know, Colton was panicking on the inside knowing he would be proposing that night. When we arrived in Nashville, we checked into our hotel and began exploring the city a little bit. We headed back to get ready for a nice dinner... still I had no idea that in a short couple of hours, I would have a beautiful ring.
When we finished getting ready, Colton and I headed out to go on a walk on the John Siegenthaler Pedestrian Bridge before dinner at The Palms Restaurant. When we got to a stopping point on the bridge, we overlooked the river and just started talking... about life, our goals and dreams... and then Colton dropped to a knee and asked me to marry him! Just when I thought the surprise was over, Colton looked at me and said "I have one more surprise for you!". I looked over and saw Amy and Josh Sullins (who had recently done my senior pictures and whom Colton had been in contact with for months in advance) there and had been photographing us the WHOLE TIME on the bridge!!!
My heart was fluttering beyond belief. After we did a quick newly-engaged photo session, we went to dinner, and spent the night crying, reminiscing, and enjoying being in this sweet moment. I could never have dreamed of a more perfect engagement with a more perfect man!
