Everything You Need to Know

We have chosen to host our wedding at the Finest Resort in Playa Mujeres- Cancun, Mexico- a 5 Star All Inclusive, Private and Gated Resort located just 25 minutes north of the Cancun Airport. Security is tight and service is above and beyond.

All wedding festivities will be held at the resort (rehearsal + ceremony). To get on the property, there is a $100 per guest daily fee. These passes are only available if the resort is not at capacity. There is no change in pricing based on hours on the property. (For example, if you wanted to come by for a quick lunch, you would still be charged the full fee.)

We understand that traveling for a destination wedding is expensive and although we would love for everyone to stay on property, you are certainly welcome to look for better options for your family. There are stipulations for hosting the wedding which require a certain number of guests stay on property, so only 2-3 guests are able to stay elsewhere. If you prefer to take this route, please let us know in advance at shearawedding@gmail.com.

Because the resort is small and we're heading in during a popular season, we recommend reserving your room as quickly as possible. We have a limited amount of rooms available and if/when they are sold out, we can try to add more, however, prices may be higher. There is also a chance the resort could be sold out and unfortunately, there won't be anything we can do. You can reserve your room with a deposit of $100/pp. Payment plans are also available. Final payments are due no later than December 28th.

All food, drinks and top-shelf alcoholic beverages are included. Prices below are inclusive of taxes and resort fees. *Round Trip Airport Transfers are also included only when you book through our wedding party*

We selected rooms that we thought would accommodate everyone. If we have not listed a room you would like to book, Sonia can get the pricing information for you and have it added to our room block. She can also assist with adding additional nights to your stay. Prices below are for Junior Suites with Pool/Spa View which is the majority of the hotel room block.

Pricing is for 2 adults per suite.
3 Nights/2 adults: $1734 total ($289 per person per night)
4 Nights/2 adults: $2282 total ($285per person per night)
- Children 3 and under are $45 total for the stay.
- Children 4 – 12 years of age is $456 for a 3-night stay

Pricing is for 3 adults per suite.
3 Nights/3 adults: $2475 total ($275 per person per night)
4 Nights/3 adults: $3255 total ($271 per person per night)
Children 3 and under are $45 total for the stay. Children 4 – 12 years of age is $593 for a 4 night stay

2 Night Stays.
For those that cannot make it for a long weekend, a 2-night stay is an option outside of the room block. Please email us if you need to us arrange your stay outside of the block.

We recommend that you NOT book using a third party such as Orbitz, Expedia, Travelocity, etc. since you are NOT guaranteed a room at the resort. Many companies will have you booked but if the resort overbooks, they will send you to a nearby resort. ***

Guests are encouraged to book their own airfare, flying into Cancun International Airport (CUN). Room rates do NOT include cost of flight. We recommend booking as early as possible to secure the best rates. Set those flight price alerts!

We have a fun day planned for our guests on Friday, 2/28 so our recommendation is to arrive on Thursday, 2/27 and fly home Sunday, 3/1 or Monday, 3/2. We'll be at the resort until Wednesday, 3/4 so for those who can extend their stay, please do!

Pro Tip:
-- Fly the red-eye for more time at the resort! If you arrive before check-in time, you can use all the amenities (pool, restaurants, activities, etc.). Pack a small bag with swimwear and other necessities to utilize the resort while you wait for your room to be ready.

-- We encourage you to arrive at least 36 - 48 hours before the wedding day in case of delays or cancellations. Most guests will be traveling from the east coast during our snowy season so please plan ahead for possible inclement weather.
