Gisela & Spencer

Our love story started in January of 2020, when our paths crossed for the first time in Ramos Arizpe, Mexico. Gisela had gone to a job interview for a project that Spencer had been working on for a while, and it just so happened that Spencer caught a glimpse of her as she walked in the office for the first time. All Spencer could think about was, who was that girl? and wondered if he would see her again. As fate would have it, she came to work on the project shortly after.

It became quite obvious that Spencer really liked Gisela, but he was really shy to ask her out even though she said "invite me out sometime". He has never been very smooth... nevertheless, that did not stop him from his terrible attempts to start conversation and staring at her constantly. 

So, one Friday night a group of our friends/coworkers went out for some drinks. Spencer wasn't so brave to ask Gisela out so he had his friend Jonh text Gisela saying that Spencer was waiting for her at the bar. At that time she realized that she also liked ''that güero'' so much, so she accepted the invitation; that night we danced, drank, laughed and had so much fun together that immediately we realized it was love. That night, we exchnaged our phone numbers, and texted each other everyday until we finally started dating.

Two years later, we planned a vacation together with some family members and Spencer proposed! Early that day, Spencer called Gisela's family asking for permission to marry her, in spanish (probably not very good), and Gisela's dad said ''you are taking my princess and I know that you make my daughther happy''  her brother then said '' I have never seen my sister more happy and in love''. Spencer officially got the blessing from Gisela's family. Later that night at dinner he got down on one knee and popped the question. "Gisela, will you marry me?", to which she said yes and now we are beginning our life together.

Our love for each other has grown more and more everyday, through all the good, the bad, the cultual differences... that at the end of the day make it way more fun. We are so excited to share that love with you on our special day. 

Nuestra historia de amor comenzó en enero del 2020, cuando nuestros caminos se cruzaron por primera vez en Ramos Arizpe, México. Gisela había ido a una entrevista de trabajo para un proyecto en el que Spencer había estado trabajando durante un tiempo, y dio la casualidad de que Spencer la vio mientras entraba a la oficina por primera vez. Todo lo que Spencer podía pensar era, ¿quién era esa chica tan hermosa? y se preguntó si volvería a verla. Días después, como el destino lo tenía planeado, Gisela entró a trabajar en la misma compañía donde Spencer trabaja.

Se hizo bastante obvio que a Spencer realmente le gustaba Gisela, pero le daba pena invitarla a salir, a pesar de que ella le dijo "invítame a salir algún día". Spencer nunca ha sido bueno entablando una conversión ya que tiene una personalidad muy tímida ... sin embargo, eso no le impedía seguir intentando hablar con ella y no podía dejar de mirarla cada que ella pasaba caminando por la oficina.

Entonces, un viernes por la noche, un grupo de nuestros amigos/compañeros de trabajo salieron a una fiesta en un restaurant-bar. Spencer no fue valiente  para invitar a salir a Gisela, así que le pidió a su amigo Jonh que le enviara un mensaje a ella, diciéndole que ''Spencer la estaba esperando en el bar porque quería conocerla e invitarla a salir''. En ese momento, Gisela se dio cuenta que también le gustaba ese güero, por lo que aceptó la invitación.

Ese día bailamos, bebimos, reímos y nos divertimos tanto juntos que de inmediato nos dimos cuenta de que era amor. Esa noche, intercambiamos nuestros números de teléfono y nos enviamos mensajes todos los días hasta que finalmente comenzamos una relación.

Dos años más tarde, planeamos unas vacaciones junto con algunos miembros de la familia en Mazatlán, México., en ese viaje, Spencer decidió proponer matrimonio!

Ese día por la mañana, Spencer llamó a la familia de Gisela, pidiendo permiso para casarse con ella, él habló con ellos en español (aunque probablemente no fue muy bueno), pero lo practicó tanto que todos le entendieron. El papá de Gisela dijo ''te llevarás a mi princesa y sé qué haces a mi hija muy feliz así que también estoy contento por ustedes'', a lo que también su hermano comentó ''Nunca he visto a mi hermana más feliz y enamorada''. De esta manera, Spencer obtuvó oficialmente la bendición de la familia de Gisela; más tarde esa noche, durante la cena, se arrodilló e hizo la pregunta "Gisela, ¿quieres casarte conmigo?", a lo que ella dijo que sí y ahora comenzamos nuestra vida juntos.

Nuestro amor va creciendo cada día más en lo bueno, en lo malo y en nuestra diferencia cultural... que al final del día lo hace mucho más divertido.
