The Sinaia Casino is located in the Dimitrie Ghica park and it was built at the initiative of Carol I. The construction started in 1912 and was completed a year later. The architect Petre Antonescu, who was actually the author of the plans, supervised the works. The casino had as first shareholder the Baron of Marcay, who was also the shareholder of the casino in Monte Carlo after the architecture of which it was built the one in Sinaia.
The Casino, host to many conferences, symposia, congresses and national and international meetings, is at the same time the favorite place for organizing special exhibitions of fine art and photography, book launches, concerts and shows.
