Angela Smith
Mother of the Bride

Ginny's mom Angela was born in Alabama and grew up in Louisiana, but has called California home since attending college at USC (where she met Ginny's dad, Doug).  Her southern upbringing has come in handy for all things wedding!  Angela is an avid genealogist and family historian.  She has worked at Crossroads School (where both Ginny and Casey attended from kindergarten through high school) for 27 years.  Angela and Doug live in Culver City.  They converted their garage into a bungalow for Ginny and Dilshan.

Doug Smith
Father of the Bride
Ginny's dad, Doug, grew up in Manhattan Beach, California, and moved to Montecito during middle school.  He attended Santa Barbara Junior High and High School (Go Dons!) and moved to Los Angeles for college (Fight On!).  Doug works in television production and spends much of his free time working on home-improvement projects (thanks, Dad) and cooking for Ginny (thanks again).
Eranjanie Somaweera
Mother of the Groom

Turns out Eranjanie and Doug HAD worked together. Eranjanie lives in Orange County with her daughter (Charlini) and her son-in-law (Jerome). She currently works for an LA-based non-profit with offices in DTLA. In her spare time, she does ballroom dancing with friends and is a resident member of the local Sri Lankan-American Buddhist temple.

Bandula Somaweera
Father of the Groom
Bandula passed away before Ginny and Dilshan started dating. He will be with us in spirit.
