COVID-19

Our Covid-19 policy

We are well aware that bringing people from all around the world together just as we come out of a pandemic requires a new set of rules.

We will monitor all guests and are hoping that everyone is capable of receiving a vaccine prior to the event.   (It's another reason why we pushed the wedding to September rather than over the Summer 2021)

Arrivals in Germany will most likely still require a Covid test to demonstrate that you and your family test negative and we will also look for you to share your vaccine results with our wedding planner.

The same rules will apply to all staff working at our wedding.

Flights and Car Rental

Fly Into Frankfurt Airport

Please fly into Frankfurt International Airport. Most flights will be direct.

You will not need a car during the festivities as we will be planning shuttle buses, but we recommend that you rent a car from Hertz, etc. so you have the freedom to explore the area before, during (Saturday morning) and/or after the wedding.

If you would like to find other fellow guests to carpool with, let us know and we’ll hook you up!

Directions & Map

Schloss Aschbach

More detailed driving instructions to come- though you will likely be driving only to the hotel! Shuttles will be able to take you to Aschbach.

Things to Do

In Bamberg & Around

You may have some time to spare on Friday and Saturday mornings (depending on when you arrive) so get out and about exploring!

Attractions:  Bamberg is one of the most beautiful and preserved towns in all of Germany.  It is a UNESCO Heritage site and we highly recommend you spend an afternoon strolling along the river, seeing the medieval architecture, and experience some of the local beer and cuisine.

Wine Region:  Schoss Aschbach is about 25-45 minutes away from some of Germany's most renowned wine regions.  Volkach, Iphofen, and areas surrounding Würzburg all have beautiful town centres and are surrounded by vineyards in the same style as Burgundy.

One of the best activities is to rent a bicycle and spend 3-4 hours riding from Vineyard to Vineyard.   Check these guys out for rental options:
