Travel Notes & tips
Cape Town, South Africa
We chose Cape Town, South Africa because of the incredible scenery, the variety of wine, the rich history & the interesting culture. Buy beer cheaper than you would @ your local over in Aus Or Ireland. But most of all we wanted to have as many as our family & friends in a place they could explore and escape to with us.
Dublin - Cape Town
We are sure you will do your own research but being travellers we use skyscanner to start to track flight prices.
The flight time on the quickest (not the cheapest) flight would be approx 14hours
Dublin > London Heathrow > Cape Town International
Check flights on the link provided or if you have a preferred provider use them
Where we will be
We will arrive in Cape Town City Central (areas good to stay Clifton, Sea Point, Vredehoek)

We then will be 5kms from the wedding venue from the
Tuesday 13th October - Thursday 15th October
After the wedding we will all head 30 mins to a gorgeous town called Hermanus, where we will have the after party gathering at a pub/ spot near the ocean, it is WHALE season.
We will be there with family and ALL are welcome
Thursday 15th October - Sunday 18th October
After that hopefully we will have a couple days to ourselves ;)
Anywhere - Cape Town International
Coming from an international spot? Just type in Cape Town International and you will be taken to your destination
No explanation
If we need to explain this to local family and friends, we have a massive geographical problem. Call my mom she can help you
...
If you are landing in Cape Town, we would like to suggest you car pool or rent a car. Uber is amazing and really reasonable but we wouldn't suggest it from Cape Town to the venue as the venue is 1.5 hours from the city.
I will explain all in an example itinerary. We would suggest making this a trip of a lifetime & exploring Cape Town for 2-3 days before coming to the wedding / after the wedding
Wedding & Holiday
Cape Town, South Africa has to be one of the TOP holiday destinations in the world.
Rich in history, culture, scenery, food and WINE. As well as beaches and safari to make SA a first choice for a lot of travellers.
We would suggest taking 7-14 days to explore this beautiful side of the world.
Cape Town is child friendly and can be a really wonderful family holiday but if you don't want kids whining while you on the wine tram leave them in your country of origin :)
An example:
