Accomodation
Please review the accommodation options below. Once you're ready to make your choice, please complete this quick form BEFORE Monday 20th January. Our friend Beate will be coordinating the responses and will provide bank account/PayPal details for you to make your payment once your selections have been made.
Please do not contact Midginbil Hill directly regarding accommodation.
There are three different onsite options for accommodation at Midginbil Hill and a few offsite options. Ultimately, we would love you to stay at the property with us as we really want to maximise the time spent with our loved ones. Midginbil offers a few different levels of very simple accommodation. We hope the fact that you get to be amongst all the action, and can stumble home after a few drinks will outweigh the fact that you may be bunking in with friends or family! Midginbil also offers a meals package (outside of the meals we will be catering for on our official wedding day).
All prices below are listed in Australian dollars (AUD), are based on 2 nights accommodation (Fri & Sat)*, and include meals (Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast and lunch, and Sunday breakfast). We will be providing Saturday's dinner after the ceremony.
*If you only want accommodation for one night, pricing can be provided upon request. If you are staying offsite (options below), meals for the entire weekend are $95.
NOTE ABOUT CHILDREN:
Kids under the age of 4 eat free of charge and if they don’t occupy a bed e.g. camp or sleep in a cot, accommodation for them is free. Kids aged 4 – 16 pay half price for meals and normal prices for accommodation. If your kids are coming (we'd love to them to be here for festivities) we will work out their cost and let you know. If you are interested in a babysitter during the reception (so you can dance/drink a bit more freely), please state so when you fill out the form.
When you're ready to secure your lodging, please make your payment to either:
Bank transfer: Acc name - Austin Redington
BSB - 082 048
Acc number - 905873260
Paypal: paypal.me/fionaandaustin2020
Just a reminder that all costs quoted on the website are in Australian Dollars.
"Glamourous Camping"
COST: $655 2 nights (Fri & Sat) for 2 people, $520 for one person
We've hired 20 glamping tents, with a few configurations available: queen size bed, single beds or a combo of both, depending on how many people you will have in your group.
These tents will be set in beautiful natural surroundings, intersected by a small meandering creek. Facilities at the campsite, but not attached to the tents include toilets, hot showers and laundry. (extra bed can be added - POA)
Hostel Style Dorms
Bunkhouse - $185, 2 nights (Fri & Sat) per person (+ $40 for linen package, if not bringing your own)
The Bunkhouse (think Hostel Dorms) accommodates 8 dormitory rooms. 6 rooms with 5 bunks (sleeps 10) and 2 rooms with 2 bunks (sleeps 4) all with ensuite bathroom. These rooms will be organised so that you’re bunking in with people you know, so grab a couple of friends and bunker down in these cabin-style rooms.
NOTE: You can either bring your own pillow, sheets, towel and blankets/sleeping bag OR linen packages are available at $40 pp but these must be pre-booked. If you need the linen package, please indicated so in the form when you fill it out.
DIY Campsite
Unpowered Campsites - $135 2 nights (Fri & Sat) per person
The campground is in beautiful natural surroundings, intersected by a small meandering creek with plenty of shady sites. Tents, caravans, campervans etc are all welcome. You are welcome to bring generators for power. Facilities include, toilets, hot showers and laundry.
Nearby Accommodation Options
There are a couple of offsite options for you to consider if you do not want to go with the accommodation we're offering at the Midginbil venue:
The Bushranger Hideaway ( www.thebushranger.com) or
Wayelani Bed and Breakfast (Airbnb)
There is a tennis court, swimming pool and plenty of room to run around on the property. If you have access to a car, you can climb Mt Warning, visit waterfalls, and look around small towns like Uki and Nimbin. Visit Byron Bay and the Gold coast on your way to or from our soiree. We know it is quite a trip for the majority of you so want you to enjoy your time while you’re here.
THE LODGE HOUSE – THE CENTRAL HANG-OUT HUB
The Lodge House is a historic homestead built-in 1906. Everyone is invited to use the Lodge House over the course of the weekend as the central hub for meals and socialising. Next to the Lodge House, you will find a swimming pool and tennis courts available to enjoy!
OTHER IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE
Being situated in such a secluded location, Midginbil Hill has phone reception for Telstra only. The house does have a landline which can be used for emergencies or for parents that need to check up on their little ones at home. Midginbil Hill is listed as an Advanced Ecotourism Resort, so all national park rules apply.
