Planning Your Trip
If you need help booking transportation to and from the airport or finding accommodation on the coast, please email our wedding planner Simona. Her email is Info@happybrides.net.
You will not make the wedding if you miss your scheduled coach.
Scheduled Pick Ups:
Amalfi - 1:00 pm at Piazzo Flavio Gioia.
Atrani - 1:05 pm on the main road to Amalfi, just before the tunnel.
Conca Dei Marini - 12:45 pm by the crossing to the Le Bonta del Capo restaurant.
Minori - 12:00 pm in front of the Hotel Santa Lucia.
We have booked a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom Airbnb in Ravello, for guests impacted by the road closure to use prior to the wedding.
You can store your belongings here if you want to go and explore Ravello. You can also finish getting ready, use the bathrooms, and can get changed into your attire for the wedding here.
The Airbnb is a 5 minute walk away from the wedding venue, and is located just off the main square where there are shops, restaurants, and some very famous tourist attractions.
My brother Austin (Cell Phone: 202-413-4090) will be at the AirBNB to ensure everyone can find and get into the Airbnb. He can be contacted via text message or WhatsApp on the day of the wedding. Just make sure to tell him who you are!

We are so excited to have you attend our wedding in just a few weeks time! We are looking to make the most of this trip to the Amalfi coast and know you are too. If you would like to join us for an excursion, or just swing by our Villa to say 'Hello!" here is where we will be:
June 2
Club Africana in Praiano in the evening (likely around 9:00 pm). It's a club in a cave so definitely a unique experience.
June 3
You can catch us lounging by our Villa Pool this day! We will be at Villa Le Palme relaxing and having some lunch between 12:30 and 3:30 pm.
We will be dining in the evening at 6:00 pm at Lido Azzurro with our bridal party before the welcome party. The food here is wonderful, so if you'd like to swing by for dinner as well, we would recommend.
The welcome party starts at 8:00 pm and goes until 11:00 pm. Please be on time!
June 4
We are looking to do a lemon grove tour in Amalfi from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The tour includes lunch. The link to book the experience is (let us know if you'll be joining us!): www.amalfilemonexperience.it/tour/lemon-tour-lunch/
June 6
We will be relaxing at Villa Le Palme all day. Swing by as you'd like!
While travelling to Amalfi in March, we made sure to compile our top tips on staying on the coast.
- Learn the bare basics of Italian (Hello, Goodbye, Thank you, Please, You're Welcome). People greet each other warmly so it's nice to know what to say!
- Bring cash, as it is normal for places to not take credit cards.
- Bring an N95 mask, as some places (including the bus) required it for entry. People are also very conscious of wearing their masks in public, so please be mindful of each establishments rules.
- Take xanax or an anti-anxiety supplement if you are scared of heights.
- Bring comfortable walking shoes
Please read through all notes and then if you require assistance or have any questions, you can reach out to Simona at info@happybrides.net. She would be happy to give you suggestions on how to best reach your destination.
From Naples Airport
Closest Airport to the Venue: Capodichino International Airport. Naples, Italy.
- Taxi: 1.5-hour trip to Amalfi. Pre-book a taxi with our wedding planner.
- Bus: 3 hours trip to Amalfi. Take the Curreri" bus to Sorrento, to transfer to Amalfi.
Buses from Naples airport to Sorrento come on an hourly basis. If you must wait for a bus, there are food and drink options at the airport. Please note, the buses can be crowded so you may end up standing with your luggage during the trip.
- Train: For current train schedules visit www.trenitalia.com
From Naples train station, take a local train "Circumvesuviana" to Sorrento (these trains often experience delays), then proceed by bus or taxi transfer to the Amalfi coast. Luckily, the bus station in Sorrento is across from the train station.
From Rome Airport
Closest Airport with direct flights from the US: Rome-Fiumicino "Leonardo Da Vinci" Airport. Rome, Italy.
- Drive: 3-hour taxi to Amalfi. Pre-book a taxi with our wedding planner.
- Train: Take the "Leonardo" express from Romes airport to Romes main train station (20 minute trip), then head to Naples by FrecciaRossa train. The trip between Rome's main train station and Naples train station is about an hour.
Private taxi or shared transfers are available from all train stations or airports. You can contact our wedding planner to arrange these.
By Rental Car (NOT RECOMMENDED):
Take the highway A3 Napoli-Pompei-Salerno and exit at Castellammare di Stabia, then follow the signs to Amalfi. Please note, parking is difficult on the coast and is also expensive.
By Speed Boat (for all you ballers out there):
Available only during the summer months, arriving to Amalfi via Sorrento and Capri.
Private Taxi Hire
There look to be multiple taxi companies that operate from each major town on the Amalfi Coast. Your hotel or air BNB host should be able to assist you with booking a taxi from your accommodation.
SITA Bus
This local bus has stops all over the Amalfi Coast with fares typically under €5.00:
www.ravello.com/sita-bus-schedule/#ticket-types
Tickets are sold at small kiosks in each towns main square, but they are not well advertised. If you need help, usually a local or another tourist can tell you where to buy a ticket.
BUY BUS TICKETS IN BULK. You can purchase them in bulk for a specific route (Amalfi to Ravello for instance) and this will save you having to rush to the kiosk every time you need to catch a bus. The line at the Kiosk can be long.
Ferry
You can take a ferry to many places along the coast, and to the island of Capri:
www.positano.com/en/ferry-schedule?from=positano&to=capri
What we're all REALLY looking forward to ;)
Capri
Il Riccio – Da Tonino – Da Paolino
Sorrento
Lorelei – Don Alfonso – Quattro Passi – Lo Stuzzichino
Note from Felicia: I have personally heard from at least 3 people on 3 random occasions about Don Alfonso. It's pricey, but apparently a must-go.
Ravello
Da Salvatore – Da Mimì – Il flauto di Pan
Amalfi
Lido Azzurro - Lo Smeraldino - Pizzeria donna Stella – Sensi restaurant – Un piano nel cielo – Torre Normanna – il faro di Capo d’Orso
These are just a few of the many options on the coast!
I'd recommend checking out AirBNB experieces for a truly unforgettable time. They connect locals with tourist looking for unique, high quality experiences. I (Felicia!) have never been disappointed with an experience through AirBNB so I highly recommend!
Day Trips and Tours
Pompeii/Mt Vesuvius: This is easier to reach from Naples than Amalfi.
Capri Island: Take the ferry (book days or weeks in advance)
Trip to Positano: This is a celebrity hotspot you can get to from Amalfi via bus or ferry.
Shorter Trips and Tours
Amalfi Lemon Experience (Lemon grove, museum, and limoncello lab tour). This is 25 EUR/per person, and they have two tours per day.
Cooking classes: There are so many. Google them. AirBNB has good experiences!
Book a boat tour: Same thing...check out AirBNB experiences.
Scenic
Villa Cimbrone/Terrazza dell'Infinito (scenic view high up)
Villa Rufolo (Arab style Villa and Gardens)
La Valle Delle Ferriere (Ferriere Valley Natural Reserve): Waterfalls and ancient ruins of water mills and iron works
Beaches
The sun shines directly on the Amalfi coast mostly in the mornings. Most beaches are owned by private clubs with an entrance of between 10 and 20 euros.
- Duoglio Beach: You can get here via a paid shuttle, by bus, or by stairs from the SS 163. Free entrée if you do a lunch reservation through the restaurant.
- Santa Croce Beach: Only reachable by sea. This is a quieter beach.
- Spiaggia Grande: Biggest and busiest beach on the main port of Amalfi. There is a free area of this beach.
