Our venue, Aura Villa del Lago, is located in a small town on Lake Como called Limonta, which is about 5 km from the town of Bellagio. We recommend that our guests stay in Bellagio as there are many options for accommodation.
Lake Como is shaped like an inverted letter 'Y'. Bellagio is located at the tip of the triangle of land which divides the lake into two. While Bellagio is a bit remote, it can be easily reached by ferry or car.
Milan Malpensa Airport (recommended)
-Option 1:1.5 hour drive (depending on traffic) to Bellagio.
-Option 2: Take the train from Malpensa Aeroporto station to Como Lago station. The ferry ticket office is a 5 minute walk from Como Lago station. Take the public ferry service from Como to Bellagio.
The train ride takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes and the fast ferry takes about 45 minutes. Total cost would be €22 - €30.
-Option 3: The quickest way to get from Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) to Bellagio is by taxi which costs €140 - €170 and takes 1h 13m.
Milan Linate Airport
-Option 1: 1 hour drive (depending on traffic) to Bellagio.
-Option 2: Take a bus from Milan Linate Airport to Milano Centrale. Get the train from Milano Centrale station to Lecco. Take the public ferry service to Bellagio.
-Option 3: The quickest way to get from Milan Linate Airport (LIN) to Bellagio is by taxi which costs €120 - €160 and takes 1h 7m.
Bergamo Airport
-Option 1: 1.5 hour drive (depending on traffic) to Bellagio.
There are no trains that take you directly to Bellagio. The nearest train stations with connection to Bellagio by ferry would be Como Lago, Como San Giovanni, Varenna or Lecco.
Lake Como has a public ferry service called Navigazione Laghi, which will allow you to navigate Lake Como easily. There are both fast and slow ferries that take you to various towns on the lake. The tickets can be bought directly at the ticket counter or can be purchased online.
We recommend getting the ferry from Como, Varenna or Lecco to Bellagio.
All of the airports offer car rental services with various rental car companies. Please keep in mind that if you must request an automatic car because most cars are manual.
Street and public parking in Bellagio is very limited. Make sure to contact your hotel to see if they have parking available.
