Woohoo! Pack your bags, we are going to Barbados! We are very excited to have you join us for our wedding festivities. To make things simple, we've hired a travel agent to help our guests arrange hotel accommodations. We've chosen to stay at Sandals Royal Barbados and Sandals Barbados and have already arranged a room block for our guests.

All the many details are below, but here are the FIVE most IMPORTANT things to know:

1. You must book here to be part of the wedding group (not on the Sandals site or any other site). Only have 1 person from your party make a room reservation using the form below. Don't have 2 people in the same room fill out the form separately.

2. Sandals Barbados and Sandals Royal Barbados are adults only, all-inclusive properties, the max occupancy per room is 2 and they don't have single rates, so all rooms cost the same rather it is for one or two people. All rooms have king sized beds.

3. To guarantee availability and discounted pricing, please put down your deposit ($400) with our agent as soon as possible! ***Sandals Resorts tend to book out quickly and will most likely be sold out our wedding weekend.***

4. Transportation to and from the airport is included in your booking price. No need to arrange a taxi when arriving or leaving the island of Barbados. Sandals has a standard pickup area and group transport at the airport, so if you fly with your friends you'll drive with your friends.

The airport for the island of Barbados is the Grantley Adams International Airport (BGI).

We recommend booking your flights as early as you can and securing flights that work best with your schedule. You can reserve your flights directly with your preferred airline. Please plan to arrive 24 – 36 hours before the wedding day in case of any delays or cancellations. A friendly reminder that the wedding is Friday, August 9th 2024.

We can't package any rooms in a group contract with air, so you'll need to book on your own.

If you arrive at Sandals Barbados/Royal Barbados before the check-in time, you can utilize all of the amenities (pool, restaurants, activities, etc.). Pack a small bag with swimwear and other essentials to take advantage of the amenities while you wait for your room to be ready.

To be considered part of the wedding group, you must book through the group block and not through any other method (not directly with the hotel, not any other travel site). We have negotiated discounted group rate and secured a room block to make this as easy as possible. Additional fees would apply to visit the resort or come to wedding related events should you book off property (day passes are limited and not guaranteed to be available, so we don't recommend staying off property). The pre-negotiated rates include all-inclusive hotel accommodations, shared transfers to/from the hotel as well as hotel tax and fees. Room categories are available on a first come, first serve basis within the block.

• IMPORTANT: To book at these rates you are REQUIRED to stay a minimum of 3 nights or more. Sandals Barbados and Sandals Royal Barbados have a 3 night minimum.

• Rates are available 3-5 days pre/post the room block (based on availability)

• Any changes must be done in writing (via email) with Kerri at Sunlover Travel (kerri@sunlovertravel.com) and changes requested after the balance due date must be paid for in full upfront before they are confirmed.

PLEASE MAKE YOUR RESERVATION NO LATER THAN:

DEPOSIT: is $400 per room

FINAL PAYMENT: Due no later than May 1st 2024. All payments must be received by that date or the rooms will be canceled. There are no exceptions to this so please plan your payments according.

CANCELATION TERMS: Cancel before May 1st 2024 and any payments are fully refundable. Cancel after May 1st 2024 and all payments become non-refundable. We recommend purchasing trip insurance for any unforseen events that may cause last minute cancelations.

SEND YOUR FLIGHT DETAILS: By June 1st 2024, you will be reminded to send in your flight information to Sunlover Travel no later than 60 days prior to departure.

There are a myriad of other room categories at Sandals Barbados and Sandals Royal Barbados ranging from entry level to butler level. If you are interested in something other than the rooms we have in the contract, please visit the Sandals website to look through all available options.

Once you are ready to book, please go to the registration form on this site and when picking your room select "other room category options". You can also write in the specific room category/dates you are looking for under the "Special Requests" box. This will prompt our agent Kerri to reach out to you to discuss options still available and pricing. We can normally add additional room categories to the contract at a discounted rate so long as they are available for your dates.

***Sandals Resorts tend to book out quickly and will most likely be sold out during the week of the wedding. They run at very high occupancy and the highest room categories tend to go first. If you want something specific, please complete the registration form ASAP so we can get the room you prefer***

• After submitting your form, Sunlover Travel will send you an invoice showing your room category, dates, deposit and balance information within 48 hours (unless you submit your form on the weekend or holiday).

• If you checked "yes" for the optional insurance on the registration form, insurance will be added to your package. The cost is $248 per room.

• 2 -4 weeks prior to your final payment deadline, Sunlover Travel will send you a reminder email in case you need to update your file with a new card.

• Once your final payment has been processed, you will receive a confirmation email with your updated invoice showing paid in full. As all rooms are part of 1 large group reservation, no regular Sandals travel documents will be received.

• You will be reminded to send in your flight information to Sunlover Travel no later than 60 days prior to departure.

• As we get closer to travel, Sunlover will send a group email with additional information and tips on traveling to Barbados!

Why do I need travel insurance?

Because sometimes, you have to cancel a trip at last-minute. Travel insurance can reimburse you for your pre-paid, non-refundable trip costs – including vacation rentals, car rentals, hotels, and flights – if you have to cancel for a covered reason.
-Travel delays leave you stranded.
-Travel Insurance can reimburse you for eligible meals, accommodations, and transportation expenses during a covered delay.
-You get sick or hurt when you are far from home.
Travel insurance can reimburse you for care following a covered medical emergency while traveling. Some policies can even arrange and pay for a medical evacuation if needed.

Whether you are planning a week-long road trip or a weekend getaway, you never know what might happen. Travel insurance gives you access to a 24-hour assistance hotline for expert, personalized support in a crisis.

During the reservation process, the registration form asks whether you are interested in travel insurance. Simply, select 'yes', and travel insurance will be added to your package.

The cost of Sandals' TripMate Travel Protection plan is $124 a person (or $248 per couple) and the cost of travel insurance itself is non-refundable.

We have the rooms contracted in the room block from August 7th - 11th 2024 (with a very small number of rooms from the 6-11th). Please note some room categories are 3-4 nights while others are 3-5 nights. If you require dates outside of what we have reserved in the room block, please choose the room category you are seeking and then type in the desired dates on the form. Kerri will be in contact with you regarding the request.

Once your reservation request form is received, your request and deposit will be processed and you will be sent an invoice. If there are questions or more information is needed, our travel agent will reach out via email.

You don't have to pay all at once. The minimum deposit amount is $400 per room. Book early and make payments when it is convenient for you. Simply email kerri@sunlovertravel.com when you would like to make a payment with the card you place on file.

WILL I NEED A PASSPORT?

Yes! A passport is needed to fly to and from the U.S. and Barbados. A passport card will NOT work. Please take the time now to locate your passport and check the expiration date; make sure it is valid for 6 months after your anticipated return date. I FOUND A CHEAPER PRICE ONLINE, CAN YOU MATCH IT?

We are confident in our pricing but if you were to find a cheaper “deal” outside of Sunlover Travel please allow us an opportunity to price match. We would like to do our best to keep family and friends consolidated in the block at the resort for accountability and organization for the staff. To expedite the process, please take a dated screen shot of what you found. It must include the final total price (with all taxes and fees), what the price includes (dates and room category), the website you found it on.

DO I NEED A COVID TEST?

At this time, no testing is required to enter Barbados and no testing is required to enter the United States.

AM I REQUIRED TO BE VACCINATED?

No. At this time Barbados does not require proof of vaccination to enter.

CAN WE MAKE ROOM REQUESTS?

Yes. At the time of booking, just note your request. Maybe it is a certain building or room number. Maybe you want to be next to a certain couple or maybe you have a dietary restriction or allergy. That would all go in the "special requests" section on the registration form. Please remember these are only requests, not guarantees. However, the resort does their best to accomodate when possible.

IS TIPPING REALLY INCLUDED AT SANDALS?

The answer is "yes, but..." so let me explain. Sandals Resorts have a very strict "no tipping" policy throughout their brand. They have had this since their inception in the 1980s as they truly wanted their resorts to be "all-inclusive". If you have been to any other Sandals Resorts outside of Barbados, you will know that the rule is strictly enforced and staff can loose their jobs by accepting tips. The only 2 persons on property who can accept tips are the spa staff and butlers (if you happen to have a room with butler service). However, the workers in Barbados are unionized. Part of their contract states that they are allowed to accept tips. Sandals cannot legally not allow it. So while Sandals still stands firm to their no tipping policy, in Barbados you can tip the staff if you so choose. Most do not expect tips so please do so at your discretion.
