Since there are NO international flights that arrive directly to Caticlan Airport (Boracay Island) - Please be advised that you will need to book two (2) separate round trip flights per person (1x international flight AND 1x domestic flight) PLUS land and boat transfer to the island and hotel in order to reach the wedding destination at Boracay Island, Philippines. 

THEREFORE EACH PERSON SHOULD HAVE A BOOKING OF:

1.) International flight arriving MANILA, PHILIPPINES (capital city of Philippines)

2.) Seperate or connecting flight to CATICLAN AIRPORT (province of Boracay Island) 

3.) LAND AND BOAT TRANSFERS from the airport to the island and hotel. This can be booked directly through our wedding coordinator

Note: You may also choose arrive at an earlier date and stay in Manila (capital city of Philippines) for a day or two before flying out to Caticlan (Boracay Island) for the wedding celebration OR you may opt to fly to Caticlan (Boracay Island) right away, after arriving in Manila.

Flights from Australia

Philippine Airlines (PAL)

Our recommended airline to travel to Manila, Philippines as it a direct 8-hour flight, with no stop-over. Prices quoted on their website are all-inclusive of baggage, meals, and local taxes.

This airline is considered to be on the upper price range. Please be on the look out for some deals and promotions via their website or facebook page.

Cebu Pacific Air

This is a mid-range budget airline with good facilities. It also flies directly to Manila, Philippines, with no stop-overs. However, baggage and in-flight meal are not included but may be added. Cebu Pacific Air always has on-going seat sales and promotions. You may want to subscribe to their newsletter via e-mail so you can get notified when there are deals coming up. Otherwise, you can jump on their website or Facebook page. 

Royal Brunei Airlines

This is another low-budget airline with mid-range facilities. Please note that this is not a direct flight. There will be at least one stop-over at Brunei International Airport before arriving to Philippines. The layover ranges from 40+ minutes to almost 24 hours.

Flights to Caticlan

The best way to reach Boracay Island is to book a flight to CATICLAN (BORACAY) AIRPORT which is just 45 minutes from Manila.

There are only three (3) airline companies that directly lands in Caticlan:

Land and boat roundtrip transfer rate for Adult (11 years old and above):

o From Kalibo: Php 2000/person (solo traveller), Php 1800/person (2 pax & above)

o From Caticlan: Php 1500/person (solo traveller), Php 1200/person (2 pax & above)

Land and boat roundtrip transfer rate for Children (3-10 years old):
o Kalibo: Php 900/child
o Caticlan: Php 600/child
o Children (2 years old and below) are free of charge

FAQs

1) Do we need to apply for a Philippine visa?

No. unless you are planning to stay in Philippines for more than 30 days.

2.) Do we need travel insurance?

Purchasing a travel insurance is highly recommended. Most airlines provide an option for you to add this together with your ticket OR purchase one directly through any insurance company.

3.) Do we need to get any vaccines or immunisation shots?

Not necessarily.  There are no harmful diseases around Philippines. However, if it makes you feel any safer. I recommend a typhoid vaccine. Also, prevention is key. Make sure that you only drink filtered or bottled water.

4.) When do we need to book our flights and hotel by?

As soon as possible. Be on a look out for flight deals online. It is best to sign up to the airlines e-mail subscription to know when a promotion has come up. Please note that the later you book your flights, the more expensive it will be.

5.) How much will the airfare cost?

A maximum of $1,500 to as low as $250 round trip per person.

6.) How long is the flight to Manila, Philippines?

Direct flights from Australia to Manila takes about 8 hours. Direct flights from NZ to Manila takes about 13 hours.

7.) How long is the flight from Manila to Caticlan (Boracay)?

Flights from Manila to Caticlan Aiprort (Boracay) takes approximately 45 minutes. I recommend booking airport transfers for your convenience as you still have to travel by land and boat to reach Boracay Island. You can book this directly through your accommodations or through our wedding coordinator.

8.) What are the important things I need to bring?

Passport, one valid ID, flight details (digital or printed), booking confirmation from hotel (digital or printed), personal medication, mozzie lotion or spray.

9.) Are there any more important information we need to know?

Boracay has a strict reservations policy that is protected by law. To preserve the beauty of the island, the government is limiting the entry to only 19,000 guests per stay. Please make sure that you have a booking confirmation of your accommodation (digital or printed). You need to present this before you are allowed to enter the island. Please make sure that you secure your booking before coming to Philippines. I also recommend for you to print your booking in paper, just in case you aren't able to reach your mobile phone or have no access to the internet.
