Things to Do

From any of the hotel blocks, you're a stone's throw away from the National Mall and all of the Smithsonian museums, including the Portrait Gallery (right across the street from the wedding venue!), the Museum of Natural History, the National Gallery of Art, and more. Enjoy a stroll around the National Mall--be sure not to miss the World War II Memorial, the Tidal Basin, the Monument (can't miss it!), and if you're truly ambitious, walk all the way down to the Lincoln Memorial, stopping by the Korean War Memorial and Vietnam War Memorials on the way.

Walk around some of DC's unique neighborhoods and explore the shops, row houses, and many food and drink options. We'd suggest strolling through Adams Morgan (where Mike and Dori live), Kalorama (take in the many embassies and ambassadorial residences), Dupont, Georgetown, or Shaw. Stroll along the water at the newly built Wharf, or around the ballpark and the Navy Yard neighborhood.
