Saoirse Long
Better known as Sursh. She is definitely the more dramatic of the brides two younger sisters. Her face was once used as a colouring book by her older sister under their grandads supervision. Her name is the Irish word for freedom and she certainly lives up to it! When not working on the radio you will find Sursh taking selfies with her cat! At the wedding you’ll probably find her working the room looking for people that will be of benefit to her future or ‘slut dropping’ on the dance floor but either way if she’s around you know you’ll have fun. Memories include Christmas shopping drinking champagne, dancing at westlife, family holidays and endless laughs together.
Cliona Long
The youngest but somehow tallest of the brides two sisters (although some would say that’s not difficult). Cliona definitely has more maturity than her two older sisters combined. As a baby Cliona was used as the brides very cute life-size doll and could barely get a word in edge ways with her older louder siblings. Having received a homemade haircut or two growing up this bridesmaid is known to never carry house keys and will happily ring the door bell at all hours to wake you up. You will likely find this bridesmaid practicing her Spanish over a beer at the bar. Memories include family holidays, Galway university, arguments over sharing clothes & lots of laughs.
Aisling Ryan
Also known as Ais. The brides friend since first year of secondary school although rumour has it they also went to mother and baby’s group together. One of Dee’s closest friends they have learnt over the years that while they share a love of the sun and holidays they definitely don’t share the same love of late nights and partying. You will often find Dee trying to coax Aisling out after dark and usually failing. Loyal, caring and thoughtful you will probably find Aisling attempting to do the worm on the dance floor at the wedding. Memories shared include Salou, Crete, Liverpool and endless nights at her parents house drinking tea and chatting.
Deborah ODonoghue
Better known as Debs or by her African name Watare this lovely lady has been Dee’s close friend since secondary school. Dee realised they would be life long friends after their time spent in Kenya teaching. Together they successfully managed to survive a leopard in their tent, a Nairobi gang and an disagreement over a blue egg. Having nearly been sold for a few cows Debs and Dee have stayed firm friends. At the wedding you will likely find Debs on the dance floor pulling out all her best shakira moves, if we are lucky this will be in costume. Memories shared include inter-railing, Kenya, Crete & Ann Frank! Debs is also mammy to Dee and Lloyds gorgeous godchild Grace.
Emer Slein
One of the brides oldest friends they both attended each others 5th birthday parties. Things for this friendship could have been very different however as in their early school years their teacher tried to split up this friendship thinking (probably correctly) that they were a bad influence on each other. Thankfully their sensible mothers did not agree and 28 years of mischief and memories later and this pair have remained the best of friends. Memories include many Halloween nights trick or treating in dodgy costumes, eating dolly sandwiches at Emer’s house, walking their fat labradors together, playing Gaelic football, skiing and endless holidays.
George Parker
Best man
Otherwise known as chimp. Known each other for the past 28 years. From day one this best man has had an obsession with ears, and how lucky that his brother had the biggest pair about. These two were always found playing sport together, whether it be in the garden, on the beach or in the lounge. If they weren't doing this, they would be watching TV, with the best man, what can only be described as twiddling the grooms ears. Memories include: garden and lounge sports & holidays. Be careful guests, this best man loves ears, so if he likes the look of yours he might want to cop a feel. Most likely to be found twiddling ears or at the bar!
Josh Trevallion
Bestman
Otherwise know as monobrow or Luke. Became friends early on at middle school and were inseparable due to a love of football, the beach and ice creams. Never mind the bride, there is some serious concerns about this best man arriving on time for the wedding. He has had the term "Trevallion time" coined, due to his insistence on being late for everything. Memories include: IOW festivals, batty boat, golfing and skiing. Warning guests, this may be the person who we are waiting for to start the ceremony. Most likely to be found plucking his brow in the bathroom or flexing his biceps on the dance floor.
Jack Rivers
Usher
Otherwise know as Nose. Friends since primary school, rumours are that they were drawn together due to their extraordinarily large features. Unsure how they remained friends over the years due to having very little in common, but after an emotional and sweaty night in Colonel Bogeys where love was declared, have remained best friends ever since, sharing memories such as; Bestival, Glastonbury, Batty boat, Hatfield and more. Guests beware this Usher tells terrible jokes. Most likely to be found on the dance floor with a puddle of sweat around him!
Nathan Marshall
Usher
Otherwise known as the Megabus man. It was on their first day at University that these two met. With the groom wondering if he should be friends with someone who wears an earring and Nathan wondering if he should be friends with someone wearing a Southampton shirt, it is amazing that they became friends. They lived together for 2 years at university, with the groom partly blaming this usher for his huge weight gain during first year at uni. Their main adventure came during 7 months of travelling, where they spent every single day together. They get on so well travelling that they declared they could easily marry. Memories include: the whole of Brunel Uni, ultimate frisbee, travelling, and top golf. Be careful guest this usher loves practical jokes and magic. Most likely to be found on the dance floor showing off his moves.
Scott Eastman
Usher
Otherwise known as Delboy. Friends since primary school where this Usher had a lovely rat tail haircut. Played football together during their younger years. During middle school it is unclear if this was a friendship or a business transaction with the groom often buying Del boy's sandwich off him at lunch, sometimes with the additional bonus of a cookie from the local Safeway. It was at A-Level where the bromance grew with a shared love of gambling and the seafront arcade. Memories include; Magaluf x 2, IOW festivals, Hatfield and many a Liverpool night out. Warning guests, this Usher is always looking for a good deal so be careful - don't let him fool you the booze is free. Most likely to be found by a fruit machine or in a hot tub.
Stuart Woods
Usher
Otherwise know as Señor Snake. Became friends at middle school but it was late on at high school that these two really bonded. This usher loves a solo trip to Liverpool with fried chicken, milkshakes and FIFA being played throughout the night. Memories include: IOW festivals, batty boat, Hatfield and many Liverpool nights out! Warning guests this usher is a smooth talker so if you are female and have a pulse you may find him offering you attention. Most likely to found talking to all the ladies or on the dance floor with a tie around his head.
Cormac Kerins
celebrant
Otherwise known to the bride as Corms or Cormie he has been one of her best friends since primary school. With rumours (mainly from their parents) of a possible romance after going to each others debs. It turns out he was more likely to be interested in the brides brothers than the bride herself. His way with words has helped the bride progress in life, and due to this his witty words will help them bless their special day. He will most likely be found sipping an old fashioned, providing great skin care advice and charming the pants off you. Memories include skiing, Galway, Clontarf Castle Christmas drinks, Leopardstown & being the best roomie in Portugal.
