FAQs

1. What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire.

2. What will the weather be like this time of year?

June is one of the most popular tourist months in San Diego. During June, you can expect comfortable temperatures (typically between the high 50s and low 70s) and dry weather.

3. Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

The ceremony will be taking place outdoors on the North Lawn. Be mindful of footwear, as this is a grassed area. The reception will be held indoors in the Starboard Room. Both locations are onsite and within walking distance from one another. A map of the grounds has been placed in the gallery as a reference.

4. What happens after the ceremony?

After the ceremony, the bridal party will take pictures nearby for about an hour. Guests can head straight into the Starboard Room for a cocktail hour, where we will be serving hors d’oeuvres and beverages.

5. What should I do if I can’t make it?

You will be missed! If you cannot attend the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no” so we can plan accordingly.

6. How do I get to the venue?

For those who aren’t driving, Uber, Lyft, and local taxis are available to transport guests to the conference center.

7. What time should I arrive?

We recommend that you arrive an hour before the start of the ceremony to make sure everyone is on time, as we will be starting promptly as scheduled at 3:00 p.m.! Guests will not be allowed to be seated for the ceremony once it has begun and should remain behind the stanchions to view the ceremony to not interfere with the photography and cinematography.

8. Can I bring a date? Are kids welcome?

We have an exact guest list; our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. While we love your little ones, we appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

9. When is the RSVP deadline and how do I respond?

All RSVPs are required by April 15, 2024. RSVPs must be made via our website or the app. We will not be tracking RSVPs via phone calls or text messages.

10. Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Hors d’oeuvres will be served during the cocktail hour and dinner will be served buffet style during the reception. There will be an open bar until 11:00 p.m. Guests are not allowed to bring their own beverages onto the property.

11. Are there any vegan/vegetarian/gluten-free/special diet options?

If you require a special meal, please let us know ahead of time so that we can try our best to accommodate your special diet.

12. May I take a centerpiece/candle/flowers home as a souvenir?

Please do not remove any flowers, centerpieces, or other decorations you see at the ceremony or reception.

13. Can I take and post wedding pictures on social media?

Pictures and videos ARE NOT ALLOWED during the ceremony. There will be professional photographers and cinematographers capturing this intimate moment, and we do not want them to have any interference. During the reception, we encourage guests to post pictures on their social media channels; we only request that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag, #ItstartedinBahrain, so we can keep track of your pictures!

14. I still have questions. What is the best way to contact you?

If you have any further questions that weren’t answered, please reach out to either of us, and we’ll do our best to get you an answer. Someone else might have the same question.
