Our house is full of all the things a couple could require and so a honeymoon away is what we most desire!

We'll be traveling to Finland and Iceland. We could not be more excited! Although, Erika is nervous about braving the cold (layers, layers, layers!).

On our second date we realized we had a shared dream to see the Aurora Borealis (aka Northern Lights). Erika had a saved image of the hotel she wanted to see the lights from, but she did not know its name or location. Andrew (always in detective mode) set out to find it on the internet and get prices. We learned the name of the hotel is Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort in Lapland, Finland.

When considering honeymoon locations, it seemed only fitting to tie it back to the beginning of our relationship. 

We will be traveling to Lapland for a few days to experience Nordic winter culture and stay at the Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort. There we hope to explore: Northern lights (via our glass igloo), snowmobiling, Santa Claus Village, smoke sauna, ice pool and local cuisine.

On our return home, we will stop by Iceland to see the Northern Lights from a different perspective: overnight camping tour (in an igloo bubble), Blue Lagoon, hike and enjoy all that Icleand has to offer.
