Grand Palladium Family Selection

Premium Area Designed for Families

The Family Selection at Grand Palladium is a premium area that offers special amenities for grown-ups and kiddos. We've elected to stay in this section in a Family Loft Suite. The amenities that made it a plus for us are

- The building is close to the beach (but that does mean it's further from the a la carte restaurants).

- The family selection has it's own pool with bar and meal service and offers an area with beach service

- The family selection allows guests to make dinner reservations earlier than other guests.

- Adults are able to use the adults-only facilities at the neighboring TRS Coral.

- And the kids' big selling point is a VERY kid-friendly breakfast buffet and cookies and milk turndown service.

Video tour of the amenities.

I love his username because it makes me laugh. And I love that his kid is holding the camera. Worth it!

For ages 1 to 3, there is the brightly colored Baby Club with age-appropriate toys. The Baby Club also has a quiet room with cribs for the little ones to nap. For the 4 to 11-year-olds the Kid’s Club is equipped with bean bags chairs, foosball, air hockey, and video gaming options. Finally, the Teen Club, for ages 11 and up offers full-sized pool tables, Xbox One, and gaming recliners.

The baby & kids club is open for all of guests (regarding if you're staying in Family Selection or not). The baby club has the following requirements:
-A copy of the passport so they can receive the little ones.
-Time of the baby club is from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
-A change of clothes, diapers and wipes.
-The staff doesn’t give them food.
-If you go out of the resort and leave the kids at the baby club, it has a charge for the nanny service of $20 USD per hour (1 or 2 kids).

Insider Tips

From folks that have been there done that

The week before you arrive, you can pre-check in online as well as connect with your butler and/or online services.

Your mini-bar is stocked by a dedicated person (not the housekeeper), but leave a note and a small tip on top to have it restocked. You can also ask for specific types of sodas and snacks.

The refrigeration for the mini bar works best if you leave the cabinet door open. So, if you want cold drinks leave that door ajar.

If you need coffee supplies, ask your housekeeper or leave a sample of what you're needing along with a note and small tip.

There are no clocks in the rooms. If you're somebody who likes a clock, plan to pack one.

If humidity bothers you don’t come to Mexico - just kidding. But the rooms are generally humid. You can purchase a travel dehumidifier on Amazon, but we aren't bothered by the humidity.

The AC doesn’t run when the doors are open. If you're having trouble with your AC, check to make sure your exterior doors are closed before you call maintenance.

AC settings for those of us that are Spanish challenged.

* Enfriamiento = cooling
* ventilacion = just fan
* apagado = off
* alta = high
* media = medium
* baja = low

There are usb outlets next to the beds, but if you have lots of devices to charge, you'll likely want to bring a power strip or multiple outlets. The outlets in Mexico accommodate our standard USA plugs.
