Colleen Shaw
Mother of the Bride
Throughout the years my mom and I have consistently been asked if we are sisters because we look so much alike. I've always been her little "Mini Me" and growing up I was definitely attached to her hip. When I was 4 years old,  my parents put me into dance classes and as I got older I started to compete at different competitions. We had to travel a lot for these competitions and I new I could always rely on my mom to be cheering me on in the audience, helping me get dressed, doing my hair and makeup and hugging me if I was upset with a result. When we would travel to different spots it was like the perfect "Mother Daughter Adventure", we would go sight seeing together, go to different malls, and just overall enjoy each others company! My mom has also taught me a lot about being compassionate, and she is one of the primary reason why I want to become a Pediatric Nurse. Still to this day I admire the way she cares for her students like they are her own children. She is one of the strongest and most compassionate woman I know, and I definitely owe her a big Thank You for raising me to be a Strong Godly Woman!
Jeff Shaw
Father of the Bride

I've always been a Daddy's girl but as I've gotten older my relationship with my Dad has become far more special to me! My Dad has become one of my "Best Buddies" over my teen and adult years. Throughout my life he has been one of my biggest encouragers and supporters. Something super special about our relationship is how I know I can always rely on him. Over the past 4 years of nursing school I have called him after every exam to process it, and even if I don't feel as though I did well I know he will encourage me. He has shown me what it means to be a faithful leader in the home and has consistently pushed me in my faith to help me grow and mature. My Dad and I are extremely close, and over the years one of my favourite things to do with him has been going on our weekly Father Daughter Dates to the grocery store because we are a perfect team.  I also have loved going to the shooting range and on motorcycle rides with him. I am beyond lucky to have this close of a relationship with my Dad and I thank him for showing me what it means to be loved and cherished my a Christian man and for pushing me to pursue my dreams and goals!

Arlene Throness
Mother of the Groom

My mom has always been someone I admired growing up. I have learnt a lot from my mom, but the way she is so selfless and caring is definitely what sticks out the most. Ever since I could remember, mom would always put me and my siblings first. It didn't matter what we were doing or where we were in life, mom made sure that we were happy. One of my earliest and favourite memories with my mom is from when I was 4yrs old. We would drive in to town to run errands and always blast Backstreet Boys.  Mom has always been the type of person that has had a fun side to her too. Not only did she take me to Scotland where it was just the two of us; but she also enticed the whole family to have a big marshmallow fight in a 5 star restaurant. I can say with confidence that my mom has to be one of the most genuine and selfless mothers out there and I can't thank her enough for everything she has done and taught me in life.

Barry Throness
Father of the Groom

Growing up I always loved spending time with my dad. From a young age he gave me the nickname "partner" because I would always follow him around the farm asking how I could help him. He would always give me basic chores to complete and even though I probably did them wrong we always had fun. I've always been told that my dad is one of the most patient guy's ever, and looking back at my childhood that couldn't be more true. It didn't matter if I was learning to ride a bike or I was too chicken to go on a roller coaster, he always had so much patience with me. One of my favourite memories with dad would be all the years he spent coaching me in hockey. It was so cool to go back to the bench after I scored a goal and get a high five from my dad.

Kendra Jacobson
Maid of Honor

Kendra and I have been Best Friends and practically inseparable for the last 3 years. We met on Easter Sunday at a church friend's family dinner because both of our parents were out of town. She enjoys any form of adventure as long as it means getting outside.  We love eating Ben and Jerry's Ice cream, watching chick flicks, hiking, suntanning, doing water sports, camping, and snowshoeing together. Our clothes typically match and if you didn't know better you would think we were sisters... She just moved to Peace River to pursue her career as a Primary Care Paramedic!

Makayla Freeman

She is currently in her last year of Psychology at UofC and is in the process of finishing her Thesis for her honours program!

We even had the chance to play on the same hockey team the one year on the same line which was my favourite year of hockey. Taylor is the kind of person that is so easy going and is down for anything at anytime. Taylor lives in Olds with his wife Bailey were he is a Petroleum Engineer Operator.
Tymon Duinker
Groomsmen
Tymon is one of my closest friends. We grew up together going to the same church and he would always give me piggy-backs after the service. Living just 2 minutes away from me made it easy for us to hang out almost every day. We have gone on many adventures together whether it is a road trip back from the southern states or else canoeing up in Grande Prairie, it is always a blast spending time with Tymon. Tymon lives in Grande Prairie where he is a electrician by trade.
Zack Duinker
Groomsmen
Zack is Tymon's younger brother and another really close friend of mine. When we were younger, we would sit in the back of the church and play games (instead of listening to the service). Zack and I have gone on many trips together and it is always a blast having him there. Wether it's hitting the slopes or making fun of Tymon together, it's always a blast hanging out with Zack. Like his brother Tymon, Zack is a electrician up in Grande Prairie.

Not only is Brett a super funny guy, but he is also super caring and loves serving the Lord in his life. Brett is always down to do anything in life so long as it involves driving the gator, playing ping-pong, or else playing Super Smash Brothers. Brett is working in Calgary as a civil engineering tech.
