Getting There & Things To Do In Savannah
The airport is located 12 miles from the Historic District of Savannah.
It is a very walkable city, no need to rent a car. Uber or Lyft to the Historic District is typically $30-$50
Savannah is located 250 miles from Atlanta, 83 miles from Charleston and 116 miles from Jacksonville.
Valet Parking at the DeSoto is currently $42 per night.
There is a parking garage very close to the hotel at 301 Liberty Street run by the City of Savannah. Parking rates (according to website) 5am-5pm Friday $1/hr, 5pm-5am flat rate $5, Saturday and Sunday flat rate of $5 per day (credit card only).
All wedding Events and local sites are all very walkable, so no need to rent a car if you flying to Savannah.
This trolley makes 20 stops throughout Savannah's Historic District operating M-F 7:30am-7pm and Weekends 10am-6:30pm making it convenient to see all that Savannah has to offer. The trolley runs every 10 minutes, look for the purple and green trolley and just hop on!
The dot has a stop (destination #61) for The Harper Fowlkes House, the site of the ceremony.

Stroll down River Street, visit Byrd's Cookie Shop, see where Forrest Gump waited for the bus (bring your own box of chocolates if you like), SCAD, Webb Military Museum, American Prohibition Museum, Cathedral of St John the Baptist, Congregation Mickve Israel, birthplace of Girl Scouts (yes, Colleen was a girl scout!) great shops in City Market area, amazing architecture, bike tours and home to several historic beautiful parks/squares!
