Colin and Brielle met on October 19th, 2010 at the Twisted Branch Tea Bazaar, on the downtown mall in Charlottesville, VA. They were there to see Kurt Vile.
Colin was drinking water at the water dispenser between beers and Brielle was drinking red wine and taking photos of tea-jars and dim light with her DSLR. She asked him how the water was. He said it was fine and asked her how the wine was. Eventually, Colin asked her name, and she invited him to join her friends who were gathered in one of the cushioned booths. The following week was filled with group hangs, dinner dates, and even a music-filled drive to The Olive Tree thrift store in Crozet, VA where Colin treated Brielle to a bag-full of thrift clothing because there was a bag sale!

Colin proposed to Brielle on her 32nd birthday on the back porch of their home in Charlottesville, VA. He designed a ring with local jeweler Mia Van Beek of Formia Design (get over there people who want to make special jewelry for a special someone) with family stones and recycled family gold. Brielle thought she was opening a gift bag with a birthday present in it until she found a tiny wrapped box at the bottom of all the beautiful tissue paper. Her ecstatic "YES I WILL MARRY YOU!" was followed by dinner at the Ivy Inn and cocktails at Alley Light with dear friends.

Brielle's dad Jeffrey DuFlon took all of the non black and white legitimate looking engagement photos in our gallery and we wanted to say that not only do we LOVE LOVE LOVE these photos, we're also so moved that Brielle's dad took them. They will be extra special always for that reason <3 .
You guys should all head over to Jeff's website to see his photogaphy - it's amazing!

Brielle made a little watercolor and colored-pencil painting to use for the wedding stationary and Colin has been laying everything out in photoshop, using the little painting whenever he can! You will find this motif throughout the fun stuff you receive in the mail <3
We wanted to do something special for you wonderful people, and with our passions it just seemed silly not to take advantage of this part of getting married to have a little fun!
