I saw her performance in the Miss Kappa Alpha Psi pageant. She wore a red dress and sung the heck out of "Summertime". She had passion, she was beautiful, she was intelligent, she was confident and talented beyond measure. That night, not only did she win the pageant but she won my heart.

On Valentines Day of 2013 he woke me up at 6am to go to IHOP for breakfast. I didn't want to wake up that early but I couldn't miss this opportunity to be with him in this way (and get free food).

I pulled it off with the help of our wonderful support system of friends and family. Jeri had been winning so much lately. She had been promoted at work, she just turned 26, and just got back from an international business trip to Saudi Arabia. Despite her jet lag, we got all dressed up and traveled to the Baltimore Harbor where friends and family met us. I got on one knee and asked her to be my wife! SHE SAID YES.
