My friend, Shiquita and I went to Ghana in December 2018 to celebrate the new year and little did I know that I would meet Isaac as soon as I arrived. Shiquita and I went to Urbano hotel/restaurant in Osu, a popular area in Accra, mostly for free wifi lol and Isaac was our waiter. Isaac was very patient and kind to us so much so that when he was about to change shifts, he let us know. Well, my good Sis started interrogating Isaac and later said "he'd be a great match for you, Sharity". Isaac and I exchanged info purely for a friendship and that budded into our whirlwind romance today.
Through our relationship, Isaac and I have found solace in our savior, Jesus Christ. Our first official date was December 31, 2018 watchnight service, where we brought in the 2019 New Year together and began our courtship. Isaac was very clear about his intentions early on and has consistently strived to love me as Christ loves the church. Our faith has strengthened our relationship and gave us grace to wait patiently until we can be together according to God's timing. We would tell any and everyone it is certainly worth the wait.
On December 10, 2019, we went to Hotel Urbano together with our friends nearly one year after we met. It was definitely sentimental and nostalgic. Before I knew it, Isaac stood up and poured his heart out to me. The waiter revealed my beautiful engagement ring in a heart-shaped chocolate cake. I was just in shock!! Isaac got down on one knee, asked for my hand in marriage, and I SAID YES estatically!!! That night was sooo sweet, we danced the night away. We were both excited to begin our lives together as a married couple.
After the world shutdown in 2020 due to Covid, it was absolutely a blessing that Isaac and I could finally see one another again. In January 2021, we enjoyed ourselves by going to outdoor restaurants, beaches, and visiting family. We are grateful that we had that time to reconnect and we are so excited you all will join us in November 2022 for our wedding celebration!!
