It all started with Charlie's aunty, Louise, playing match maker over Facebook. A few messages and texts back and forth ended up with a first date between Christmas and New Year 2014.
Charlie went all out for the first date in Manchester. Drinks at Grand Pacific, dinner at Gaucho and then onto the very classy establishment of Black Dog Ballroom where we met the Eiffel Tower (a very drunk introduction from a man sitting next to us!)
We spent the first year of our relationship travelling up and down the country from Cheshire to Lymington (or jumping on a plane when we couldn't be bothered to drive! Everyone knows Charlie loves a plane). Travelling was one of our favourite things to do and we visited London regularly as well as Dublin, Majorca and Indonesia.
In 2016 Clare moved to Lymington full time and we moved into our lovely little flat on the High Street. In typical fashion, Charlie was travelling for work on the moving date, so Clare played Carole Smiley for the day and sorted out the move.
In 2019 we spent a dreamy Christmas in Australia. It really was a holiday of lifetime. Sight seeing, chilling out of the beach and eating out at great restaurants.
One the last day of the holiday we walked along the beach in Byron Bay when Charlie surprised Clare by getting down on one knee!
Little did Clare know that Charlie had bought the ring at Heathrow Airport on the way out to Australia and had been carrying it round in his backpack for 3 weeks.
We are both so excited about spending the rest of our lives together. It is so special to us both that we are getting married at Winston and Louise's stunning house where we both first met (and where Clare used to ride past on her horses as a little girl).
We cannot wait to celebrate with you all and in true Clare fashion.....dance the night away!
