About the Venue

Completed in 1926, the Ca' d'Zan was built by John and Mable Ringling, who owned and operated the circus rightly called "The Greatest Show on Earth". Overlooking the Sarasota Bay, the Ringlings built the Ca' d'Zan to be their Winter residence.

About the Venue

What began as John Ringling's personal art collection, the Museum, modeled after Florence's Uffizi Gallery, houses 28,000 works in 21 galleries including a world-renowned collection of Peter Paul Rubens paintings. The museum first opened to the public in 1931.
