On a beautiful sunny day in the fall of 2018, Renardo and Christina serendipitously met in Brooklyn. It was the start of Renardo's annual trip to the U.S. and Christina's birthday weekend, when the two met at a restaurant in Brooklyn.
Renardo's recollection of events:
During a dire dinning experience for Renardo and his uncle Darryl, Christina and a group friends spotted two 'fine' looking men in the restaurant and decided to move to a closer table.
During their meal, Darryl and Renardo noticed that Sanai's (Darryl's baby daughter) shoe was missing. They asked Christina and her friends if they could check under their table for the missing shoe (aka trainer).
Once the two tables found the shoe, they hit it off and started talking.

At the end of all the riveting conversation, and having felt they made a connection. A naive Renardo decided to ask Christina for her social media addresses in an aim to connect (instagram to be exact). To which she retorted, 'I don't do social media english boy!' (Again, Renardo's recollection of events...stay tuned for what really happened).
After 20mins of additional conversation and charm, Renardo was able to obtain an almost disconnected linked-in profile with 3 connections & no pictures!
After two to three failed attempts at trying to have a conversation via texting (if you know Christina and Renardo, you can attest to how bad they are at messaging), the two decided to arrange a phone call.
Sparks flew and the first call was 5 hours (not sure how Christina managed this on a medical resident schedule, nor Renardo being 5 hours ahead in the UK). For the next few months the two spoke for hours everyday.
After months of getting to know each other, Christina and Renardo were finally able to meet up again, but this time, in London! The two were able to go on multiple dates and immediately realized their feelings for one another and desire to be together.
Over the next three years, their love and commitment for each other blossomed following a series of international travels and special moments.
After a few years of dating, Renardo and Christina both realized they wanted to spend their lives together. Although the COVID19 pandemic tried to keep them apart, Renardo popped the big question at home in a quiet romantic setting!
The two are now asking you to join them on their special day!
