Go for indian brunch! We love their Breakfast Frankie, Saag Paneer Omelet, Mushroom Lamb Burger, Pondicheri Salad, and Carnivore Thali. Check out their Bake Lab upstairs as well! KILLEN’S BARBECUE
UGH. WHERE DO WE START. Killen’s is the best BBQ hands down - we would even argue it competes with Franklin and La Barbecue in Austin (and there’s a shorter line!). You will need to do about a 45 minute drive to this hot spot, BUT WE PROMISE IT’S WORTH IT. If you’re not a fan of lines, go about 30 minutes before it opens and you’ll be fine. For people who enjoy the line experience, they’ll bring out beer and bbq samples to help endure the wait.
What to get: BEEF RIBS, Brisket, Burnt Ends, Pork Ribs, Creamed Corn, Cole Slaw, Macaroni & Cheese, Green Beans, Potato Salad, Baked Beans (basically all the sides, but if you had to narrow down start with the first 3 listed…), and end with Banana Pudding
Tips: Make sure you get your sliced white bread and if you LOVE your meat a little more juicy/fatty ask them to cut your Brisket “loose cut”

-If you want Beef Ribs, you’ll get them at Rogel’s or Brisket House (offered on some days at Brisket House so check before)
-Brisket House has this awesome PB&J sandwich - Pulled Pork, Brisket & Jalapeno Sausage on a Jalapeno Cheese Bun. Topped with Slaw.
-Goode Co. BBQ - we recommend their sliced beef sandwich, BBQ plate, and loaded baked potato (that’s right, a baked potato with beef brisket on top!). Their BBQ sauce is a must and it’s on the sweeter side. Love their Jambalaya. They have really good dessert too (you can get at any of the Goode Co. restaurants) - we love their pecan pie and chocolate icebox pie.
-Rudy’s and Luling are classic. Can’t go wrong. You’ll get the typical ordering experience by the pound on butcher paper. Rudy’s has more options for sides and their peach cobbler is bomb.

This New York Delicatessen has a gazillion menu items with punny, Broadway inspired names and you can’t go wrong with any of them! We love the #1 (Fiddler on the Roof of your Mouth - a triple decker corned beef and pastrami sandwich), the Ziggalicious (a Fancy Schmancy burger piled high with pastrami...and get the sweet potato fries!), Potato Latkes, and Matzo Ball Soup! You will get lost in Central Market for hours...and it’s a good thing!
This place is not your typical grocery store! We definitely recommend exploring their non-traditional layout, but to satisfy your hunger, go to get their gourmet, hot sandwiches or get a freshly tossed salad! Hint: if you want to avoid getting lost and make a B-Line to the food, when you enter to go the right side of the building.
We love the California Connection (add avocado) and get some veggies from their cold bar (the kale, pepita, cranberry salad and their quinoa!)

Tan Tan offers Chinese-Vietnamese cuisine. Get the A1 (House Special Rice Cake) and B3 (Chargrilled Pork with Crushed Rice). You can’t go wrong with the salt toasted spare ribs, Dice Beef with Scallions, Fried Rice, and Flat Rice Noodles with Beef.

CRAWFISH AND NOODLES
Put on a bib and be prepared to get your hands dirty! In David Chang’s Netflix show, Ugly Delicious, he dines at Crawfish and Noodles in episode 4! You’ll definitely need to put in work for that crawfish, but it’s absolutely worth it for the unique Viet-Cajun flavor that will burst in your mouth!
