Flights

For flights, we recommend flying into DCA. It's conveniently located on the Green/Yellow metro lines, which can take you directly to the venue.

You might also consider IAD or BWI, which are more of a drive but often have better flight options. If you're flying into BWI, you can also take the MARC train into DC and save yourself the hassle of a rental car.

Trains

From out of town, you can catch an Amtrak into Union Station, then catch the Red line, a taxi, Uber, or bus anywhere in the city!

To get to the venue by train, take the Green/Yellow lines to the Georgia Ave.-Petworth station then walk about 3 blocks.

Things to Do

Peak cherry blossom season in DC is anytime from mid-March to mid-April, and with luck it'll be right around 3/25/23! If you'd like to see the cherry blossoms, we recommend going very early OR going outside the Tidal Basin. Casey Trees, a local non-profit dedicated to cultivating and protecting DC’s tree canopy, has this nifty map to plan out your sakura photography dreams.

For more classic DC, the monuments and Smithsonian museums are always free! Our favorites are the Lincoln, Vietnam War Memorial, WWII Memorial, Air and Space Museum, and the National Museum of African American History. For the NMAAH, you may have to wake up quite early to get tickets!

Looking for good food? We recommend any restaurants on this list.
