Milwaukee Art Museum

The Milwaukee Art Museum is the icon of downtown Milwaukee. It sits on the waters edge of lake Michigan and the unique architecture resembles a sail boat.

Food & Drink

Sobelman's

If you're hungry Sobelman's is known to have the best burgers in town. They also serve classic Milwaukee Bloody Mary's loaded with all kinds of crazy toppings.

Lakefront Brewery

Milwaukee is known for its many breweries and this is our favorite! They have the best brewery tour and cheese curds around.

Milwaukee Public Market

Eat, drink, and shop around. Some of our favorite stops here are the West Allis Cheese & Sausage Shoppe for a Bloody Maries, and Margarita Paradise for tacos.

Hiking

Lion's Den Gorge Nature Preserve

This hiking spot is our favorite in the area. The nature preserve has miles of trails, including a half mile along bluffs that overlook Lake Michigan. The views from the bluffs are amazing. And if you want to walk a little closer to the water's edge you can take a series of stairs down to the stony beach.

Ice Age Trail - Holy Hill Segment

The Ice Age Trail is a system of trails stretching across 1,200 miles within the state of Wisconsin. The Holy Hill Segment of the Ice Age Trail is one of the most popular fall season hikes in the Milwaukee area.  Its a great way to see the changing colors of Wisconsin's landscape and it ends at the beautiful Holy Hill Basilica which is overlooking Hartford from its hilltop. We recommend you research a little bit to find a good parking spot and how much of the trail you want to hike.

KAYAKING

Milwaukee River

Kayaking on the Milwaukee River is a great way to see the city. You can even dock your kayak at some popular food and drink spots downtown like Lakefront Brewery and Harp Irish Pub.
