Chris proposed to Ellen over 4th of July weekend, overlooking a beautiful sunset on Lake Michigan. The couple was on their annual trip in Door County, Wisconsin where they like to spend the long weekend enjoying the beautiful northern landscape. The proposal was a complete surprise for Ellen, but she didn't hesitate to say YES!
Chris and Ellen met through work, where they were on the same design team. After working together for 6 months Chris casually asked Ellen if she wanted to attend an art fair with him. Ellen was quick to say yes and that was the beginning of their love story.
One of the couple's favorite memories together was their camping road trip to Yellowstone National Park. During the summer of 2020, they rented a sprinter van and drove it all the way to Wyoming. They spent a week exploring the geysers, hot springs, and wildlife of Yellowstone.
In the past 6 months, Ellen and Chris bought their first home together in Vernon WI, worked on home renovations together, and then adopted a puppy in March 2023. Their puppy's name is Ransom, and he is an energetic chihuahua that loves to play outside and give kisses to anyone who will let him.
