Chris and Amrita met over 9 years ago volunteering at the Ram Mandir Seniors Day Dinner. Amrita did not have a cell phone at that time, so they exchanged email addresses and kept in touch over email for about a year! There was almost 50+ emails back and forth before Chris finally had the guts to ask Amrita out to a Work Christmas Dinner!
After the work Christmas dinner was over, Chris and Amrita went across to the the Cafe Demetres for some ice-cream and long long conversations. They talked till 2 am and before they said good-bye, Chris on his FIRST date asked Amrita to be his girlfriend. Chris had a few conditions right away: they will go on a date only once a month and would keep in touch occasionally! Amrita agreed (while thinking he was insane) and they parted ways.
Well, they actually ended up meeting more then a month and went on multiple dates while keeping in touch almost everyday. Amrita even asked Chris out to her High School Prom! They talked all the time, went on a couple vacations together and even introduced each other to the family early on in the relationship.
Over the years, Chris and Amrita grew together and stuck together through the ups and downs of life while supporting each other like the best friends that they are. Amrita even moved in with Chris and his family for a bit before she got her own place in 2015!
Chris asked Amrita to marry him on Christmas Eve 2015 while doing their annual photo-shoot that they made a tradition of over the years.
Chris and Amrita stayed engaged for a long time. They went through some more roller-coasters of life and finally decided to move in together officially September 2017 and also got a dog baby the very same year! And finally, they decided when he turned 1 years old that they had to make things more official and began to plan their big day!
