The only words that can be used to describe this proposal story is fairy tale. Alex surprised Chelsea with a trip to The Happiest Place on Earth, Disney World. He followed that surprise with a perfect evening. Picture a horse drawn carriage ride around a lake while fireworks go off in the background. You pull up to a white gazebo and are asked to spend the rest of your life with your best friend. They spent the next few days embracing the magic of Disney and the bliss of being newly engaged.
Alex and Chelsea met in September of grade nine, in a hallway at Cathedral High School. They started as friends and quickly realized the flirting was a little less friendly and a little more crushing level. After a couple of dates Alex asked Chelsea to go steady on December 18th 2006. High school was a blur of hard work, joining lots of clubs and amazing memories; including winning prom king and queen during their senior year. They went on to attend Western University where Chelsea studied Psychology and joined a sorority, Alex studied Economics and joined a fraternity. They quickly learned how to balance fun and hard work. Now they both live in Hamilton, with their adorable cat, Thomas, attempting to be adults. The next adventure is being engaged and planning a wedding!
