My big sister! Normally found anywhere near the ocean and campaigning to save all the fish in the sea. Funnily enough I have known Amy my entire life we are extremely close despite being completely opposite in most things. Amy lives with her husband Dan in Cornwall (which they think is called Kernow) but they hate it there and can't wait to move back to Bristol ;-) She's an amazing photographer and spends her spare time (when not surfing, windsurfing, mountain biking, yachting, wake boarding, doing yoga, running or being active at the beach) taking the most beautiful photos and is great at editing them too. She now has to fit all that in as well as being a Mum to my amazing nephew Oliver, which is easy enough as he is the happiest baby ever!
If at the bar buy her a small drink, cider or a single G&T - Amy is a lightweight in every sense of the word.
One of my besties from Plymvegas Uni! We've been friends since we met in halls in first year. Or Carly would say after the 3rd time we met as she's always said it takes at least 3 goes to like me :-) She is known as a bit of a prankster and puppet master always convincing people to get up to mischief - so don't believe anything she tells you about me!
Mum of two gorgeous kiddies; Elin and Edwyn (and soon to be a Mum of three, due in May) and married to Dafydd another one of my good friends from university.
If she's at the bar she'll be up for G&T and espresso martini's.
Lisa is another best mate from uni. I would describe her as a total fashionista and lives in London in what I describe as Aladdin's cave of wonders! She has the most clothes and dresses I have ever known ... but I don't think I or anyone has ever managed to borrow any! Sort of gutted I have picked her outfit for the wedding as always look forward to what she wears. We met at uni but have definitely grown closer since we left. Always up for a laugh and to meet for a coffee break when I am passing through London.
Another G&T drinker if you find her glass empty or a nice red wine ;-)
Lisa and I met working in a cocktail bar in Plymouth, I say working it was mainly joking around trying to persuade the managers to let us leave early so we could go out! They had to split us onto different bars so we would actually work! Lisa quickly became an honorary student whilst I was at uni. Not wanting to be too far away from me she later moved to Bristol and eventually we moved in together to Sommerville Road. She’s also spent time living with my parents so is really a bonus member of the Boaden family. Since I’ve known her she has changed her hair colour so many times I can’t count and who knows by the wedding what colour it will be.
If at the bar she loves a vodka but if she’s had too many vodkas that she feels sick she’ll have a tequila.
Quote
Lisa - “If I have any more vodka I think I’ll throw up”
Charlotte & Lisa in unison – “Tequila”
One of Charlotte's oldest school friends. We used to have swimming lessons together didn't we Yasmin? Our first holiday without parents we went to Newquay … a fridge full of VKs is what I can remember. Yasmin and I braved the shop to purchase this with our fake ID’s. So many nights out in Bristol taking it in turns to guilt our parents into dropping us off and picking us up. In recent years we have been skiing together and we both love a dinner party especially if it ends up with a VERY competitive board game! Yasmin & Simon HATE losing to us! I am now proud to be “godparent” to Yasmin and Simon’s gorgeous boy Rupert who now has to compete for their parents attention with a new little brother around, Alexander.
Yasmin’s favourite shot is tequila but she has specifics - ideally Patron! If she’s at the bar a shot of tequila would go down a treat.
Sarah (previously known as Miles, Sarah Miles) a close friend from school and one of my oldest friends. Many a house party we have had together and nights out in Brizzle. I was trusted to be Sarah’s bridesmaid many years ago when she got married in Turkey. It was such a great experience and also the first hen party I was charged with organising … limo’s, wigs and lots of dares and games … that’s all I’m saying. Another yummy mummy to beautiful Ella. These days she is in to yoga and Reiki, so if you feel you want your energy healing give her a shout.
If at the bar she'll have a Malibu, Prosecco or a Pimms and Lemonade :-)
Also known as Annaspannabannanahamock! One of James sisters and soon to be my sister too. Anna is James big sister and a gorgeous mother of two little mischievous boys William and Jack and married to groomsmen Chris. Anna lives in Taunton and in true family style also works in sales. She is an epic baker, always baking cakes, brownies, puddings and millionaire shortbread (my fav), I don’t know how she finds the time. Also a keen runner there is obviously running genes in the family. Anna loves a drink and a game with the family. She has an alter ego called Shirly that comes out on special occasions involving lots of booze … hoping Shirls makes an appearance on the hen do and the wedding!!
If at the bar get her a G&T but with no ice, instead a frozen lemon wedge.
Rose is James sister (soon to be mine too) and closest in age to James who is the youngest sibling. Lives in Taunton with her hubby and another groomsman Ben and is an awesome step mum to 3 lovely kids (Isla, Finley and Archie). A red headed beauty and another one I have total hair envy of. Another one in the Cooke family that works in sales and beat James to getting her MBA. Rose has been known to make amazing cakes and made her own wedding cake and is famous for her Christmas cakes, which are very boozey. Is she the only bridesmaid who can keep up with me drinking? She thinks she can! Loves a good game and has introduced me to loads of new ones which is a challenge as I have so many.
If you find her at the bar her favourite drink is a Pornstar Martini or red wine. Although she does also love my Cosmopolitans (but perhaps only a couple of those!)
Growing up in a quiet spot outside of Bristol, Thomas realised his potential in rugby when he ran into a tree and knocked it over. Growing up through the ranks he finally made it to the top of the pile, the first team in Frampton Cotterell. After a number of successful years, at many clubs I'm sure he'll tell you about, Thomas finally met his idol Chris Robshaw and had a shot with him. Thomas also once shouted so loud he killed a pigeon.
