Dale LaSorsa
Maid of Honor and Best Friend

Dale and Cathy first met as classmates at Bentley University. They had similar career ambitions and took several human resource management classes together. They also learned that they both played volleyball in high school and joined an intramural co-ed volleyball team in the spring semesters. Dale was always there to listen to Cathy gush over her crush, Brian, who was nothing more than a student at Bentley at the time.

Their friendship was built on drinking wine, dancing, and going on adventures around campus (and Boston!)!  Anytime they said they were going "frolicking", they knew they were going to have a good time making new friends. They often joked about what life would be like growing old, traveling the world, and continuing to wreak havoc well into their golden years.

Cathy wants everyone to know that Dale is a kind soul whose witty humor will keep you laughing through the night. Cathy chose Dale to be her maid of honor because she is a loyal friend and puts 110% effort into everyone she loves.

Fun fact: Dale has her boating license and enjoys boating with her family off the shores of Connecticut.

Erika Zorrilla
Bridesmaid and Best Friend

Erika and Cathy first met in 6th grade at Our Lady of the Assumption school in Lynnfield. Their friendship grew throughout middle school and high school. In middle school, they both were on the cheerleading team, acted in the school play, and even sang a duet in the school talent show. While attending Bishop Fenwick High School, they upgraded their talent show acts to hip-hop dancing. They also played volleyball together.

Some friends go their separate ways after high school graduation, however, that is not the case for these two ladies. While Erika attended Regis College to study nursing, Cathy would go visit Erika and study together in her dorm. A year after college graduation, Erika, Brian, and Cathy became roommates at their apartment in Dorchester. Erika has since moved on to pursue a traveling nurse career, but every time she comes home they make time to catch-up.

Cathy wants everyone to know that Erika is a sincere, caring, and an honest friend. She is the type of person you can trust to be there for you when you need it.

Fun fact:

Cathy wants you to know that Colleen is a generous, positive, and energetic friend whose smile is infectious to whoever is near. She is the type of person who will cheer you up when you're feeling down. If you are looking for a friend to try something new, look no further. Colleen is always down to have some fun!

Tu Phan
Best Man and Best Friend

Tu and Brian met at Boston Latin School and their relationship has developed into a life long friendship. Similarities in their childhood experience of living in Dorchester and going to primarily all African American middle schools gave them unique but similar perspectives in life. Thus, an unbreakable bond, kinship, and empathetic spirit connects these two amazing humans.

They've always enjoyed each other's company. Tu helped Brian become a more cultural and open minded person through his passion for poetry, spoken word, family, the physical, and the spiritual. There has never been an interaction between Brian and Tu in which humor and smiles are absent. These two best friends can always laugh at each other, at life, but can also have deep and open conversations that are necessary to grow as men.

Julian Jean-Pierre

These both young men had classes together, hung out together, laughed together, partied together. Seldom do you find a friend in life that you can hangout with alone - that's Julian and Brian.

Often times, high school friends lose touch when they go off to college - this was not the case with Julian and Brian. They frequented events together such as hip-hop concerts, casinos, birthdays, staying in to watch Celtics games, or even celebrating Chinese New Years! Julian and Brian have similar qualities in putting others first before them. Their kind hearts and permeating friendliness keeps others close to them.

Every Sunday was family day and the two always hung out on the weekends day dreaming about what the future would hold.

It's never awkward between the two, they always get along instantly and pick up where they left off. Jack has always been a part of Brian's life and has always supported him whenever Brian needed questions answered, tech help, or another buddy to game with. Jack's personality, openness, generosity, and upbeat attitude keeps Brian young at heart. They'll always be young cousins who will never grow apart.

Glen Yu

When you think of a great friend, you think of Glen. Glen has been with Brian throughout all of his younger years. The two were best friends in elementary school, went separate ways, but destiny brought them back together at Boston Latin School. Conversations always flowed naturally for these two. They traveled together to many exciting places all throughout high school like spring break trips to Montreal and Miami. They both matured quickly, partied together, and grew together at the same pace into strong, young, family-oriented, young men.

When Brian is with Glen, there's never ever a dull moment. It's hard to find friendships that are completely open and genuine - that what Glen has been to Brian his whole life. Brian is always able to be himself around Glen. When the two are together, everyone around them is guaranteed to have joy, excitement, energy, positivity, openness, kindness, and acceptance.
