The Helmand (Mt. Vernon)

Afghani food, white tablecloths, but not super expensive. They do both dine-in and takeout.
Doobie's (Mt. Vernon)

Korean inspired food. Though we've only eaten here a couple of times, we were pleasantly surprised. Should be relatively close to downtown as well.

Casual Indian food, one of Catherine and Matt's favorite places to get take out!

Coffee shop + bakery thats right on the water. Great coffee and baked goods, with a chill vibe. One of Catherine's favorite spots.
Ekiben (Fells Point + Hampden)

Asian Fusion takeout place. A personal favorite of Matt. Note there are two locations - the Fells Point one is probably closest to downtown.
Paulie Gee's (Hampden)

Great brick-oven pizza place. They have a huge space inside, so it's a pretty good place to take kids. There is also an outside seating area as well.
Woodberry Kitchen (Hampden-ish)
www.woodberrykitchen.com/
"Farm-to-table" (new american) restuarant with great food and cool, trendy interior. They do also have outside seating on their large-ish patio. Note that unless you make a reservation a week or more in advance you probably won't get a table here.
