Everybody goes to school to get degrees. But I guess our goals were a little bit more than that. In addition to bagging PharmD Doctorate degrees we found each other.

My Story (The true Story)
Back then in 2014, I knew pharmacy school was going to be though so I decided to surround my self with people I could study with. During orientation, I found an old friend Patricia who was friends with "JP" or as he liked to think of himself, "the connector". Few moments later I end up running into JP and noticed he had two beautiful ladies standing beside him, one who was Cassie. Surprisingly they just met that same day for the first time. Few weeks later we took our first exam in which I failed badly. After laughing at both our failures, JP then tells me about his study crew which included Cassie and invited me to join for the next exams. From then on, we all studied together and built a tremendously tight bond. I would notice Cassie from time to time. I always thought she was pretty cool with a kind heart.
Fast forward to the late 2015, after recovering from a bad relationship. I started paying a little bit more attention to her. I would compliment her beauty and always look for opportunities to sit directly beside her in class. Then I would flirt with her and ask her questions about her future husband and all. After exams we hung out, went to go see movies and just got to know each other deeper. In her heart I found a sweet soul and trust me I was not letting go. We grew closer, stayed on the phone longer and then I started taking lunch to her work place (Pre-Boyfriend Moves LOL)
After coming back from a vacation with her friends in June, she all of a sudden asked me "Yinka, what are we doing, who am I to you" I looked at her square in the face and told her "you are my girlfriend". I definitely can't say it's all been a perfect ride since then. But since that day I have grown to love and appreciate this woman I'm about to call my wife

During my first week of pharmacy school, I met Yinka through a mutual friend I made during orientation. When we first met, my thoughts were he was so kind, respectful and finnneeee!
Over the next two years, we studied together with our group of friends in school. We all dealt with the stress of pharmacy school. I admired Yinka so much because whenever faced with what may seem to be impossible to others he always relied on his faith in God. I watched him fast, pray and grind. He put his all into everything he did and never made any excuse.
Towards the end of the second year he would take me on dates here and there, ask me questions about the future and having a husband who was an entrepreneur. In my mind, I would say he sure has a lot of questions. During the summer of 2016 we became official. I remember I was working at the hospital and I wasn’t feeling well. So I left and went to the emergency room. They decided to admit me. I told Yinka and he came right over I remember us talking until I feel asleep. I woke up around 6 am and he was still there at my bedside wide awake.
Since then I knew he was the one, who would always be my side. I can’t thank God enough for the person he designed for me to share my life with. I’ve been challenged and I’ve grown for the better. I can’t wait to say I do and spend the rest of my life with you Yinka!

Cassie had always fantasized about how she wanted her close family to be around her when I propose and given the fact that I had always wanted an elaborate proposal, I knew a lot of planning had to be put in to make the day very special. According to the Haitian tradition, the groom has to seek blessings from brides family before the actual proposal, so I set to work about 6 months before. Big Shout out to my Uncle, "Ambassador" J. Kasali for organizing it the Nigerian way.
About 3 months before proposal day, both families met, without Cassie knowing and connected. My family got the blessings and the proposal was sealed. Date was set for June 8th 2018.
Through out the time we dated we both loved Cash Cash & Digital Farm Animals - Millionaire feat. Nelly and would sing and dance to it . The words of the song were perfect because she did make me feel like a millionaire. So i chose the song, next we had design dance steps. Within a month @jro1234_ Jordan came up with the "dabb" idea and I liked it
On that day, I must say I was nervous, I checked the weather app multiple times to make sure it wasn't going to rain. To make the proposal more of a surprise for Cassie, we planned around her Uncle's birthday giving her family a reason to be around. So I arrived like I came for the Birthday party and right about 6.30pm Jordan and his crew started their performance loud on the street, everyone rushed out and Voila! I proposed (of course I joined the dance crew for some few "dabbs" even though i missed a couple steps LOL)
Surprisingly I forgot all the dance steps and even the ring finger, which i practiced multiple times before the proposal day. It was a miracle all her friends and family kept it a secret till that day.
Glory be to God everything came out perfectly
