Our story makes us unique, unique because we were in the right place at the right time not looking for love but found the most greatest one to ever happen to the both of us. We chose each other everyday after that, and the rest, well its history.
Graduation of Trisha's BSc degree, soon after this Carel's mom gave us Rambo which was one of the best gifts we got.
Rambo used to be so small that Trish was able to fit him into her handbag, we took him everywhere, we went on day trips with him. He is definitely our dog baby xx
This was one of the first holidays we had with Trish's family in Port Elizabeth, we always ate very well when we visited here ;)
This was our first official international trip alone, we stayed at Heritage Awalli hotel and we were able to experience the best that Mauritius had to offer, from 5 star hotel experience, to 5- course meals at the finest restaurants every night, to quad biking to the hidden waterfalls and swimming in the clearest, cleanest of water, scuba diving with the most exotic fish, spa spoils and having the best sundowner cocktails. This place will always have our hearts.

This was on our way to watch Avengers the Endgame , and Carel knows how much I love Groot, so when I found out that Groot came back to life I literally cried
We did shows together, one of our many many hobbies we share. Trish was there for Carel's very first show, and Carel was there for Trisha's first show. They also competed together and loved every second of sharing this journey together.
When we moved to Jhb we started experiencing what the vibrant city had to offer, we love going to food markets, tastings and before Covid hit we would take these trips on Sundays. One of our favourite things to do is to experience new , vibrant restaurants and eating truly wonderful food.
One of our trips we took to Cape Town to visit Carel's family. We went e-biking to different wine farms and truly experienced wonderful local wine. This is our favourite place to visit in SA during the summer.
The story of getting Rocky was quite sad, Nikita was a 21 year old duschund that we looked after until the end of her days. Rambo loved Nikita, she passed away from cancer and we were truly heartbroken. Rambo struggled to be alone and so the search for his next brother started. We went to 4 SPCA's , Rocky was at the first one and I could not forget about him even when going to the other SPCA's. We took Rambo for a meet and greet and Rocky and Rambo took a liking to each other immediately. We took him home the next day and they have been very happy, playful food loving brothers ever since.
And here we also started learning how to enjoy quality red wine, and since then we love to discover new wines together
This is just the beginning. We got engaged on 5.12.2020 at Serenity Mountain and Forest Lodge close to Nelspruit Mpumalanga. The place was literally enclosed with exotic trees, birds and butterflies. There were butterflies everywhere. Initially Carel had a trip booked and planned for Zanzibar in April of 2020 but Covid decided different. However Carel was determined to ask Trish for her hand that same year, so Carel booked one of the most beautiful mountain sceneries you can ever imagine. Carel spoiled Trish from the moment they got there, Trish had no idea this was coming as Carel has always been so romantic making all events super special. Carel proposed to Trish with a message in a bottle in the middle of a butterflied filled garden right next to the main Waterfall. Honestly nothing could have been more perfect xx
By the talented Isabel from Kreativ, we wanted to create a romantic modern mood so shooting at Mooiplaatz mine was the way to go. The white dusty background of the abandoned mine, the pompas riddled grass gave such a clear, simple look to it all. The images that Isabel was able to create was nothing short of perfection.
Lace on Timber has an elegant , modern vibe to it , everything about this place exudes elegance , class and grace. We wanted to choose a venue that would fit our aesthetic that both of us have. We wanted it to fit like a glove to us a couple and so we decided on this beautiful venue.
By OglivieGems. A rose gold band with a massive morganite stone , my heart stopped when I saw this masterpiece as Carel asked me to be his wife. Carel went into so much detail not only placing both of our birthstones inside of the band , but also engraving Trisha's oupa’s special Psalm 138 into the ring. He also included our date when we started dating into the band as well, as well as the saying “ forever is only the beginning”.
These girls have been by my side since 2013, there was no way they would not be on that special day. For me it was so easy to choose my bridesmaids as I have so much love for each of these girls. Each of them played integral roles in my life and have been through so many phases of my life together with me. I love you girls more than you know, thank you for saying yes to standing by my side and I can't wait to experience this day with you <3

The master behind the wedding dress, I saw Estelle's work long before we got engaged. I loved how her work just flowed and how her clean lines and attention to detail stood out in each and every piece she created. She was the first person I booked and secured for the wedding and I knew I would be in very creative trusting hands. She truly made my dreams come true when she created this masterpiece for my wedding day.
There are 6 years of memories that we would like to share on here but we hope to make more memories on this beautiful day with you, so we left this last part of the story open, so we can share this beautiful day together in the start of our forever....
