Casey and I met when I was completing my clinical rotations at the VA, here in Augusta, Georgia. He was an RN in the Spinal Cord Injury Unit and often worked at a desk next to me in a shared office space. He left a note on my computer asking me out on a date. About a week later, we had our first date at Augustino's. We immediately hit it off and have been together since!
Casey proposed one Sunday morning while we were taking our dog, Porter, for a walk at Clark's Hill Lake. We were dressed up for Sunday brunch, and he had a photographer hiding for the special moment. He read me a sweet letter and asked me to be his wife! It will forever be one of my favorite memories.
