Our first date... I arrived on time so I ended up buying my own cup of coffee. The date already started off with a rocky start as I wasn't planning on staying any longer than 30 minutes or so. Angel arrives all surprised that I already had my coffee in hand. I find a spot for us to quickly wrap up this date and to make a long story short, that 30 minutes turned into hours! We had so much to talk about and we found ourselves hanging onto each other's words. I can't tell you it was love at first sight but I knew there was something very special about Angel and I wanted to know more! It turned out to be an amazing date and a pretty perfect first meeting. I knew that Bry did not want to get married but after really getting to know her and falling in love with her, I knew I had to try. I first talked with her Mom for her insight/approval and even she thought I was brave to want to propose knowing her daughter did not want to get married. Then the next step was to figure out how to propose. When I first met Bry, she told me how important her family and friends are to her and how they have been there for her through good times and most importantly, the bad times. That resonated with me and when the time was right, still wanting an intimate proposal, I made sure to include a very small group of her closest friends to share in our engagement. They were nervous as well knowing how Bry felt about marriage and the possibility of her saying no and things getting awkward. I don't quite remember everything I said to her as the rehearsed words went out of the window but what I do remember is that Bry said YES and made me the happiest man in the world! - Angel
Most of you know that we were blessed to purchase a condo together in November 2017, though we were not able to move in until the end of that year. It has been a trying, yet exciting journey renovating one room at a time. So exciting that we couldn't wait to start inviting loved ones over for brunches, happy hours and dinners! It won't happen overnight but we can't wait to complete turning our house into our home and welcoming even more of you all! xoxo - Bry & Angel
