Getting to and around Glasgow
via Glasgow Airport
Glasgow Airport is only about 15 minutes from the city
Getting from Glasgow Airport to the city centre:
There is a taxi rank right outside the arrivals gate. Cost can be between £20-£30 depending where you are going in the city.
Uber is a bit cheaper than Airport taxi but not as readily available. To meet your Uber, walk out of arrivals to the drop off/pick up point in the car park. Cost can vary between £15 - £25 depending where you are going in the city.
Bus Link - There is also a shuttle bus that will take you into the city centre. Also located just outside arrivals next to the taxi rank. A trip to Glasgow will take around 15-20 minutes. Tickets cost £6.50 for a single fare and £9 for an open return and can be bought on the bus.

Prestwick International Airport is a bit further away with far less number of flight routes to choose from.
If you do find suitable flight option that takes you to Prestwick, it will take between 40 and 50 minutes to get into the city centre.
Airport Taxi: available outside the terminal. There is no need to book a Hackney taxi but to travel in a Private hire vehicle you must pre-book your vehicle (try +44 (0)1 292284545 or +44 (0)1 292261010).
Train: You can also get the train from the airport. There are three trains an hour to Glasgow except on a Sunday when there are two per hour. Journey time is about 45 minutes.
Bus: Leave from exit 4 in the terminal building and turn left, the X99 bus will take you to the city centre in around 1 hour. Tickets can be booked on the bus and cost around £12 for a single.
Getting to Glasgow by Ferry:
For those travelling from Ireland, the ferry is actually a pretty convenient option as it allows you to bring your car and as much luggage as you want. There are several crossings each day from either Belfast or Larne arriving at Cairnryan Port.
From Cairnryan, drive off the ferry and turn left. Roads are all well sign posted, just follow the signs for Glasgow. The journey will take about 1 hour and 50 minutes.

Guests travelling from London can also consider travelling by train. Virgin runs several trains daily between Glasgow Central Station and London Euston. Approx journey time 4.5 - 5 hours each way which is long, but you're also avoiding travel to airport, security clearance and waiting around before your flight.
