The Bonny Ballad...
Our tale starts with Hollie, a beauty unaltered
Whose search for Prince Charming had pretty much faltered
Then there was Ian of good cockney stock
A frustrated romantic and the opposite of ‘jock’.
And then one day in a land by the sea
(the locals speak strangely and invented the pasty)
In an office our heroine meets Ian’s shy gaze
Hollie is intrigued by his strange eastern ways
“What’s next?” You ask “Don’t make us wait”
Only one way to find out; Save The Date!

...of Brennan...
…In Feb 2010 they started their odyssey;
An Italian meal and some drinking (responsibly).
2 years later in balmy Majorca
A midnight stroll’s taken down to the water
Hollie’s excited, thinks “My engagement’s near!
a perfect setting I’m so glad he’s chosen here”
Ian takes a deep breath and turns to his ‘belle’
Says “It’s getting a bit chilly. Back to the hotel?”
So Hollie suffers another year of dismay
Until September 13 Ian chooses his day
It’s unlikely I know but the weather is ambrosial
A Boat trip, a feast then a cliff top proposal
Hollie says yes, Ian revels in glory
Planning begins for next in our story…
... and Hughes!
… we got here at last; it’s time for the ceremony
Our protagonists await to be bound in matrimony
If you’ve bumped into either on life’s journey so far
They’ll welcome your presence and direct you to the bar
There’ll be music and dancing but it’s fair to assume
There’s likely to be tears and no, not just the groom.
The end of the story? I say nay just the start
But there’s one thing to remember before I depart
If you’re fond of our love birds and would like very much
To hear more of their story be sure to stay in touch.

Bridesmaids

Abigail Brennan
Brides Sister
What can you say abut Hollie's younger sister - that hasn't already been said through social media. Her special skills lie in windsurfing, photography and winding up her sister and Anton Du Beke is said to have been blown away by her footwork!

lisa hughes
Groom's Sister
Lisabisa Hughes (to give her her full title) fled England's green and pleasant land some years ago, possibly in search of the holy grail but more likely for a reliable summer. Her special skills lie in teaching Spanish children the right language and catching their colds in return.
Grooms-men

Daniel Joll
Best Man
He's known Ian for longer than Hollie's been alive yet after a pint and a half misbehaves more than Prince George after raiding the royal sweety tin. We hope his special skills lie in ring keeping and speech writing but fear they may lie closer to the bar. Ushers are under orders to confiscate any beer found attached to him before 4.15.

Peter Leyman
Usher
Peter Leyman may have lived in Wales, Scotland, Westeros and Devon but has visited Ian at least once a year since the great Chicago Rock dance of 2001 to remind him how young he used to be. Peter is particularly skilled at riding stallions, charming hind legs of donkeys and anything else found in the Shrek films.

Leigh Pritchard
Usher
For years Leigh Pritchard was known as the one with the hair until the explorer Richard Lander discovered him molding young minds as a primary school teacher in Truro. Though he looks shy and timid approach with care to avoid being wounded by his razor sharp wit and fringe.

Justyn Barbery
Usher
Justyn Barbery is a household name in St Agnes and the surrounding area where he has been shutting the public toilets for years. He is specially skilled in drinking pretentious beers and delivering post in his shorts 365 days a year (excluding unfeasibly high levels of holidays to foreign jungles)
