Welcome to our relationship "story". Buckle up because it rollercoaster. But not really. We are pretty basic. It was smooth sailing.
Brian and I met on #tinder. We both swiped right, eyyooo.

Even though I (aka Betsy, did you really think Brian helping with this?) was going away to grad school for 2 years, we decided to give long distance a shot!

But not before I dragged Brian down to Harry Potter World and he met the family.

We stayed together while I was away. There were a lot of video calls.

And we went to not, one

Not two

But THREE weddings, while I was in PA school.

He came to other big events, like my white coat ceremony.

We had our first solo trip. Of course I got him on the national park train and we went to Shenandoah NP.

I graduated from PA school and the pandemic started so we decided to move in with each other.
Pro tip, if you want to speed up the progression of your relationship status, just arranged for a global pandemic.

And then we adopted a fur baby together.
I must really like him if I let him get a cat. Especially since I'M ALLERGIC TO CATS.

So we planned another trip! And Brian, unbeknownst to me, was planning something else...
And now I get to tell you MY side about how things went down.

Picture this:
Brian and I have just had a long day of traveling to the Pacific Northwest. We land in Seattle around 7pm (10pm east coast time) and we haven't even finished our day of travel. We still have a two hour drive to the AirBNB.
After a day of never being more than two feet from each other and having to meet time schedule after time schedule, you can imagine tensions are running a little high. We barely said a word to each other before collapsing into bed that night.
The next morning, I have a video chat with one of my college friends (hey Jolina) and then we start to pack up for the day.
Still a bit brief with each other we don't say much. I throw my bag on my shoulder intending to head out to the car when Brian comes and gives me a hug. We pull back from each other and Brian says, "Do you love me?"
"Yes,"
"You really love me?"
"Yes," Now I am smiling.
He lets go of me and starts kneeling down. It hits me.
I have no recollection of saying this, but the words, "Are you really doing this right now?" just *happen* to slip out.
"Will you marry me?"
And for the third time in this exchange, I say "Yes".
