Chlo has always been right by my side from slumber parties to night terrors so it was no question who would stand by my side, helping me into my white slip and Hercules Sandals for the very first time as my maid of honor .... in 1997
- The Little Sister (whose feisty self regularly FaceTimes me in the bathroom and let me [and Jazz] plan her first wedding at 10yrs old...she also may have not had a choice because she was only 4)
You know my fun fact! We’re born 9 months apart, got engaged 9 months apart and married 9 months apart! Irish twins fa lifeee!
-Twin Sister/Cousin (who was my instant partner in crime since before I can remember, and we had to dress exactly alike and get all the same presents until we were at least 11 yrs old)
We were initially introduced to each other as kids by our parents, but reconnected in middle school and formed an unbreakable “bestie” bond. Our bond has endured the awkward stages of adolescence, crazy travel adventures, living together after college and a little trouble here and there. We’ve pretty much been through it all together. Over 20 years of friendship and a bond that will never die!
-The Bestie (whose friendship is reminiscent of Oprah x Gayle meets Thelma x Louise, and who has never failed to get us out of the trouble we always seem to get ourselves in)
I’ve been friends with Chloe since elementary school(3rd grade lol) We have been through crazy cats, first [illegal] piercings (murder inc tattoos ), car accidents, and much more. My favorite eating buddy I’m glad to share this beautiful and wonderful day with you
-The Adventurous Friend (who will call to just to laugh with me, make sure I'm ok and talk try to talk me into a worldwide vacation just because it's Tuesday and she heard they had good tacos)
There are way to many amazing memories to pick just one. I love you so much Chloe. I cherish you and our friendship and I am so honored to stand with you on your big day. Thank you for being such a beautiful, wonderful, amazing friend, both inside and out. And for being an amazing GodMommy. I love you
-The Always There For You Friend (whose friendship with me bloomed by yelling at each other in high school hallways, and reminds me that no matter how much we fuss and disagree, she always has my back and is praying for the best outcome)
God used me as the tool to grow the Benard garden ... AKA ... I introduced Chloe and Darrion in college and made her date him :-)
-The Big Sister (who always is looking out for me and my interests, and pushy for all the right reasons...CLEARLY)
Chloe Says:
Kiki Says: One day back at Wake I was in the car with Chlo-e-i-o- and she hit the curb. From that day forward whenever we went anywhere I drove, even if we were in her car.
-The Positive Friend (who will always make me take note of the silver lining in any situation...even though I can read her mind and know she is wishing the offending party would stub their toe)
Chloe has been my soul sister/my twin soul since the day we met! We would cosign a million things that we want to do together and one of the things we had made a pact to do was to get our first tattoos! So one year we all went out to dinner by a tattoo shop, as soon as we got there Chlo looked at me and was like “Tonight!" I looked right back at her and was like "Noooo" But she was determined to get it done so she picked hers out and suggested I watch first and hold her hand while she got hers done, all with the hope that she could be an encouraging example for me. She chose one of the most painful places to get one for the first time- down her spine! I sat with her to keep her distracted as I watched her cringe through her commitment to get this tattoo! The outcome: a beautiful tattoo, a survived first-timer, and a traumatized friend- who was even more scared to get a tattoo now then before! lol. So safe to say, I didn't get my tattoo that night, but a revised pact was made and I know she will sit with me through my first one whenever that day comes lol! If you know Chlo, she reminds me that the pact is still in tact so I need to get it done! lol The moral of the story: Chloe’s loyalty and encouragement as my soul sister remains unfailing and it's one of the many reasons I'm ecstatic to stand by her side on their wedding day
-The Social Butterfly Friend (who may not always be there when I call [or text] but she is ALWAYS right on time and ready to hold couch therapy sessions for the ones she loves most)
I don’t remember how Chloe and I became close, but we skipped the friendship stage and immediately became sisters. One of my favorite memories with Chloe is when we all were sick/recovering from being sick and thought it was a great idea to still participate in the Spartan race. I won’t even disclose how long it took us because it was embarrassing, but do know somehow we made it through carrying heavy rocks up hills, running up obstacles while muddy and so much more. Love you, short girl :)
-The Steadfast Friend (who always keeps me informed on the world, ways we can be our best selves and is forever down for random excursions...especially to find balanced drinks)
-The Straight Shooter Friend (who will tell it to me like it is, doesn't judge me when I fail, but will promptly read my astrology chart over a peach drink so I can best plan how to now get my life in order)
Trying to “catch ‘em all” gave us the same secret hiding place.
- Under stressful situations we look at each other and laugh about it all.
- Darrion and Brian never send us on quick runs together because they know we’ll take forever!
-The Just Like Me Friend (who I can never be trusted alone with, because you never know what will happen or when you will see us again...but you can follow the laughter)
I’m glad I had the opportunity to grow up watching my big bro. There’s some much I’ve gained from my views of his attitude and drive that make me move the way I do today. Proud!
-The Baby Brother (First thing I did was put him in my herringbone chain and one of my fitteds)
Founding member of the law offices of “Larry H Darker and Juan Cochran” undefeated legal team in mock trial circa 2001.
-The Best Friend (The type that breaks a window driving golfballs in a park and makes you run with the bag of clubs)
Darrion was the first football player I looked up to when he went to Rancho in the all-red uniforms number 1. I had to start ballin'!
-The Little Cousin (Who I try to keep out of trouble)
Even with two torn Achilles, I can still wash anybody in this room in basketball.
-The Big Cousin (Our moms made us take baths together, child abuse lol)
We were roommates freshman year in college. Broke and starving! That is until we opened a WORLD CLASS, 5 STAR RESTAURANT, deserving of a chefs choice award... in our dorm room!
-The Crazy Friend (Call room 310 and order to-go!!)
The first friend I met in college that wasn’t from NC, or the east coast, a friend turned family.
-The Country Friend (I'll never look at Little Rock Rd the same again)
We have been from the bottom to the top for real, for real... Boiled spaghetti noodles with salt and pepper to get full. STRUGGLE!
-The Positive Friend (Gave each other our last on too many occasions)
Collegiate classmates, former roommates, music partner, both still hate Vince Young for beating USC in the 2006 National Championship game.
-The Motivating Friend (Freestyle sessions in the apartment for hours)
I met D working on Survivors Remorse and we became family, we both hate the Cowboys been my bro ever since.. lol.
-The Chill Friend (I'm not going to lie, he forced his friendship on me, and I'm glad he did)
Use to be the Southside hideout when people needed to getaway.
-The Brutally Honest Friend (His food better come out looking like it did in the picture)
Darrion taught me the true meaning of “Bro!” Thanks Bro!
-The Bro (Always trying to get me to take another shot, I can't get Army drunk bro)
