Message from Niramit Creations

Throughout the festivities, we have a special hospitality lounge setup at "The Corner Room", 11th floor, Avani+ Riverside Bangkok Hotel. 

Here you can enjoy quick relaxing massages and mingle with other guests in-between event hours and also find us, the Niramit Creations team, to assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.

We are also available via your room telephone, by dialling 2469.


Connecting Bridge between Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort & Avani+ Riverside Bangkok Hotel: There is a connecting bridge between the 2 sister properties where we will be hosting our festivities at.

This bridge can be accessed through: 

Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort: Upper Lobby (L Floor) and via Avani+ Riverside Bangkok Hotel: 2nd Floor

Breakfast:

Breakfast will be served from 06.30 am to 10.30 am at Skyline, 11th floor of Avani+ Riverside Bangkok Hotel

Pop-Up Salon:

Professional hairstyling and makeup services are available on-site at "Thonburi Room" (Ground floor of Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort) at a nominal fee of THB 800 / hair appointment and THB 1,500 / makeup appointment.
A representative at the Wedding Hospitality Desk will be available from 14th to 16th February to book your appointments on a first-come-first-serve basis. 

Kids Club:

Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort's Kids Club "Chang Noi" is open daily from 10.00 am to 06.00 pm. Please ask the hotel reception at Anantara on the Upper Lobby level for more information.

Spa:

Avail a special 15% saving on Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort's spa limited a la carte menu.

Food & Beverage:

Avail a special 15% saving on individual food & beverage consumption at the hotel restaurants (excluding SEEN Restaurant & Bar)

Ashwin's Janya Ceremony - 10 AM

The Janya ceremony is a sacred rite of passage ritual. During this ceremony, the groom is offered three strands of sacred thread, each representing three vows, namely - the vow to respect knowledge, the vow to his parents, and the promise to respect the society in which he lives. With this ceremony, a boy leaves his childhood, proceeds to become a man, and follows the path of getting knowledge.

Dress Code: Semi Formal Pastels

Ghari Puja - 11 AM

The Ghari Puja symbolises the journey the couple is taking initially in their lives together. This ritual also symbolises that the house should prosper always and is centered around the parents of the Groom.

Musical Mehndi

SEEN Restaurant & Bar

Mehndi, otherwise known as henna, is a paste associated with positive spirits and good luck. Indian Wedding tradition calls for a Mehndi ceremony to be held the night before the wedding as a way of wishing the bride good health and prosperity as she makes her journey on to marriage. This evening will be dedicated to making musical memories. Dinner will be served.

The Wedding Day

Baraat - 9AM

A baraat is a celebratory wedding procession for the groom involving live music and dancing. Basically it's a big outdoor dance party before we begin the ceremonies.

Sikh Wedding Ceremony - 10:30 AM

Anand Kaaraj

Anand Karaj means “ceremony of joy” and is the religious name for a Sikh Wedding ceremony. It is a pure and tranquil experience held in the presence of the Sikh holy book, ‘The Guru Granth Sahib’.  This is a joyful union of two souls and two families.

Dress Code: Indian Formal 

Head Covering and Shoe Removal are required.

Lunch - 12 PM
Hindu Wedding Ceremony - 1PM

Pheras

The Hindu Wedding Ceremony will begin with the bride and groom exchanging garlands, symbolizing the joining of their families. The parents of the bride bless the union and give away the bride. The offering of puffed rice to the sacred fire." Rice is poured into the fire by the groom and the bride, assisted by a member of her family. The couple walks in circles, or pheras, around the sacred fire.
