About Glen Mills

Glen Mills, PA was founded in the late 1600s and was part of the original land grant given to the state's founder William Penn.

The town is named for two paper mills that existed in the town. From 1864 to 1878, the mills supplied the U.S. government with a special, patented paper for the printing of government bonds and notes.
