09/28/2020 Times & Updates with Covid-19
Hello everyone!
We can’t believe we are within a few days of the big day! I hope everyone is excited. We are definitely ready for the day!
We wanted to touch base on a few housekeeping items to ensure a fun and safe event for everyone. All events will be inside the Conrad, and doors will open for ceremony seating ~5pm. We will have a cocktail hour post-ceremony, pre-reception. In light of recent Phase 5 reopening in Indiana, we wanted to re-post our requests to remain in compliance with the state, county, and venue. While in the building when social distancing cannot be maintained, masks are needed to be worn. During the ceremony, seating will be spaced out as best as possible; however, masks will still need to be worn while seated. During cocktail hour and the reception, masks need to be worn with the exception of when eating and drinking. This would include walking to the bar and visiting the restroom. We acknowledge this is a sensitive time for everyone with comfort levels with mask usage; however, we again want to ensure a safe event for everyone. We will have masks available for everyone should someone forget to bring one.
Please reach out to us if you have any questions or wish to share concerns or comments. Our awesome wedding planner, Emily, is also happy to answer questions. Her email is Emily@emilyventuradesigns.com. Michael’s email is mikerayvernon@gmail.com. Tony’s email is tliszews@gmail.com.
Thank you so much for being part of our day! We look forward to seeing you soon!

08/04/2020 - Update with Covid-19
Hello everyone! We hope you are well and safe during this very bumpy year. While we did not foresee a global pandemic to throw some hitches in plans for our special day, we are determined to make the day as special and safe for everyone who attends. We would like to provide clarity with our plans for our wedding day and reception. First, your safety and wellness are our top priorities. The State currently has a mask mandate for [indoor] events. We must remain compliant with all State, County, and Conrad regulations and policies relevant to COVID-19. In the event the mask order is lifted by our wedding date, we ask that you still wear a mask when indoors at the ceremony and reception, except when eating dinner. We ask that you adhere and uphold the recommendations from the CDC for social distancing, as the Conrad will provide optimal seating and positioning for distancing. Unfortunately, due to a spike in COVID-19 cases in recent weeks, the Mayor has required all social gatherings (which include weddings) to be less than 25% room capacity until further notice. We have currently invited more than 25% room capacity for our special day, and we are saddened for the spike in cases and new restrictions. Nevertheless, we remain hopeful that in the time between now and the wedding, we will see a decline in cases of the virus and the gathering restriction will be lifted. Since this yields a bit of uncertainty, we ask for prompt RSVPs for our day, and we ask you remain vigilant to our website for updates on the situation. In the event the current restriction is not lifted, we will unfortunately have to reduce the number of guests who may attend our wedding. We apologize in advance if we have to make any changes. Navigating through a pandemic has definite unforeseen challenges for all. We also acknowledge any hesitation with attendance due to concerns with the virus, and we will hold no hard feelings if you cannot attend. Hopefully the next few weeks will show improvement in the pandemic numbers, and we will be able to spend our special day with all of you.
